The warmest body of water in Upper Bavaria welcomes visitors to the district of Traunstein and is a fantastic attraction for water sports enthusiasts and families. Many campsites on Lake Waginger See offer beautiful pitches, good facilities and a wide range of leisure activities as well as a private stretch of beach. If you are travelling with your four-legged friend, you can even enjoy the separate Salzachinsel dog beach at the campsite on Lake Waginger See.
Dog owners look forward to long walks when camping at Waginger See. Hikers and cyclists also enjoy exploring the hilly landscape of the Chiemgau region on holiday. Water lovers are drawn to the water for sailing and surfing. Families also enjoy the warm waters, where idyllic bays invite them to swim and play. Countless water sports activities attract active holidaymakers to the water: fun is guaranteed with boat tours, surfing, sailing or stand-up paddling. Cyclists can enjoy spectacular views of the Alpine panorama on the 30-kilometre tour around the lake, which leads to Fisching and Tengling, among other places. The region also has a lot to offer during the cold season: The cross-country ski trails are groomed and you can ice-skate on the frozen Waginger See if the temperatures are low enough. This makes the region one of the most attractive holiday destinations in Upper Bavaria, whether for a family holiday, spa camping or camping with a dog.

However, the holiday resort is particularly impressive with its huge range of leisure activities for young and old: entertainment for children and teenagers, sports courses, boat hire, guided hikes, wellness offers and much more. But the four-legged friends have also been thought of. Dogs and their masters can enjoy a separate agility course.
