Campingplatz Pilsensee

A very beautiful location by the lake. Generous pitches. Great sanitary facilities. Since this was our first time here and we only stayed for 2 nights, I cannot provide an evaluation on other topics such as leisure activities, dining, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. The pitches are very spacious, there is a large grassy area between the campsite and the lake, and the sanitary facilities are nice. Water and electricity are included and available at each pitch, as well as gray water drainage between every 4 pitches. We had a lovely time! Check-in is easy via a terminal, and at check-out, you simply return the card. With the card, you can access the shower rooms, activate the dishwasher (once free per night), and use the washing machine and dryer with a top-up. We would love to visit again!

A very lovely spot, great location by the lake, lots of trees, and very clean sanitary facilities. The size of the campsite is just right, not too big and not overcrowded. You can really relax and unwind there. The team on site is very dedicated. Overall, I find camping to be quite expensive; 20€ per person per night for a small tent is rather steep (but probably normal?). The prices at the kiosk are outrageous, 11.50€ for a frozen Margherita pizza is just ridiculous. It's a pity, otherwise I would have bought something there from time to time.

The management of the electric points is deplorable: it took two hours to free the plug at the charging station. Furthermore, there is no respect for people with physical disabilities. I was refused permission to park my car in the closest spots to the tent location. Although I was offered to stay one more night upon my arrival, I was forced to leave. The reason given was that I had insisted on having functional electricity, and that I had asked for advice on visiting Dachau. Additionally, I had booked online for two nights, but I was charged an extra 10 euros for my vehicle upon arrival, without a paper receipt. While my English is good and fluent, the hostess had the audacity to tell me at my departure that she did not understand French when I was asking for my refund for the overpaid electricity.

Even though we booked for 8 days, we checked out after just one night. What a disappointment this was! The staff at the reception seemed rushed and not very friendly. The spot on a corner wasn't a huge issue, but there was absolutely no respect for each other's privacy; people were peering between the caravans and across other people's pitches. The campsite was quite a mess and dirty, both in terms of layout and standing areas. Throughout the day, people walked around the campsite carrying drinks and heading to the water. Complete garden sets were being dragged across the campsite to the fields, and so on. It wasn't really our thing, to say the least. So we can't really agree with the score this campsite received. On a positive note, the sanitary facilities were clean.

The lake is truly beautiful and has a wonderful color. However, the entry is quite difficult without swimming shoes. It’s important to note that when the weather is nice, the campsite is also used as a beach, which means it can suddenly become crowded. We were there in the summer. The campsite is definitely not designed for full capacity. The only washroom is far too small, forcing people to wait in line for showers and dishwashing. Moreover, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Many spiders have been living in the corners for years. The showerheads are extremely calcified, and the walls in the shower rooms are peeling. The saloon-style doors in the showers offer little protection from prying eyes. There are no separate washing facilities available, so at times you have to brush your teeth in the toilet.

It is a very beautiful site, dreamily located by the lake, and even with full occupancy during the week, it remains rather quiet. The pitches are spacious, the power supply is very good, and the sanitary facilities are excellent.
