We were there at the end of August. Only about 50%-60% occupied. Prices are relatively high - pain threshold. However, it is well-maintained, 2 pools with a slide, new playgrounds. Gastro prices are roughly at German level (for meals still somewhat lower). However, the gastro is sometimes better and cheaper than in Medulin itself. The view from the bars of the sea is very nice. 2 out of 3 sanitary facilities are still old and should be renovated (the new one is top-notch). At full capacity, there is certainly a shortage of washing machines (I counted a total of 5 / 7€ per use!!!) For us, however, it was a few nice days at the facility.

Large area with many possibilities. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities - as has often been complained - have aged. The newer sanitary building is fenced off and must be paid for extra. For the Luxury and Premium parking areas, there is only an old washroom. We find that strange.

The location right by the sea is really great, unfortunately they have organizational problems regarding the camping spots. We were asked several times to move to another spot. After the second request, we left earlier than planned.

Already in the afternoon no hot water, rocky beach, very long waiting times at the reception despite self-check-in. Many extras (like sunbeds, table tennis tables, and even dog pooper bags) are charged, sanitary facilities partially defective and very outdated. If you want to make an excursion to Medulin or a distant place, it is advisable to go early in the morning or in the evening, as traffic chaos can occur quickly. Positive: great location, nice pool, good restaurants, and practical bread service.

We just spent three weeks at this campsite and we constantly wondered where the good reviews were coming from. I would give the site a maximum of 3 stars. The sanitary facilities are old and partly moldy, although the cleaning staff does its best to keep the facilities clean. We almost never had luck with warm water, neither when showering nor when washing dishes, no matter what time of day. There are only 4 sinks for a large area of the site and only 1 washing machine, where from 6 a.m. onwards the guests' laundry bags have been stacked in a row. However, washing or dryer costs €7 each. Unless you are standing far back in the 3000 area, you often get a lot of loud music for free until 4 a.m. I would prefer a lot more lighting; the site is extremely dark. Too bad, it was unfortunately all not so nice.

We are here for the second time in a row this year and have again found a nice spot for our 7.50m camper. Important to know, despite the high season, you can either express your site wishes directly at check-in or walk around with a map of the site and choose a spot yourself. Certainly, the sanitary area at the 300ff sites may be renovated, but cleanliness is good. The cleaning staff is on site almost all day.

Large spacious area with many pitches and mobile homes. Many restaurants, supermarket, bakery, and camping shop cater to needs. Very large lawn in the dog area. Sanitary facilities 1-3 are very aging. House 4 is as good as new.

As booked, the spot was in the front row, but bathing was hardly possible without danger. Both pool facilities were out of order (this could not be read anywhere before booking) and apart from one sanitary house, which is aging, all were closed. At night there is no lighting, making the path to the sanitary house quite adventurous after 6 PM. The exception "dog" was already the rule here and it was not uncommon for dog owners to not pick up after their pets. Camping seems to be secondary here; in our opinion, only the mobile homes, which are massively available, are the focus. We expect something different from a 4-5 star campsite.

With its beautiful gently sloping pebble beach, the family-friendly Arena Grand Kažela Campsite in the south of the popular Istrian peninsula is the ideal place for a carefree summer holiday in Croatia. The spacious campsite offers comfortably equipped mobile homes and some of the largest pitches in the region. There is also a wide range of exciting leisure activities and water sports on offer.
Arena Grand Kažela Campsite is located around 2 kilometres from the popular seaside resort of Medulin in the far south of the Croatian peninsula of Istria. The region is known for its magnificent coastline with many beautiful rocky and pebble beaches - and this is exactly what the Arena Grand Kažela Campsite offers. The 110-hectare site has 1,048 parcelled-out pitches in a wonderful location right by the sea. There are also over 400 well-equipped mobile homes for up to 5 people.
The pitches for caravans and motorhomes each have electricity and water connections. There is a choice of Standard, Premium and Luxury pitches with a particularly large surface area (150 m2 in total). The mobile homes for campers without their own motorhome range from the luxurious Camping Villa to the cosy Camping Home. The modern rental accommodation is equipped with a kitchenette with fridge and induction hob, several bedrooms and a bathroom with private shower.
A highlight of the campsite is certainly the 2 kilometre long pebble beach. Between the rocky plateaus and pebble bays, everyone will find a spot to relax and sunbathe. There is also a dog beach for four-legged friends with a washing station for pets travelling with you. Another magical attraction for water lovers is the well-kept pool area with children's pool and parasol hire. The 600 square metre outdoor pool with a water slide for children provides swimming fun and refreshment from the midday heat. The new infinity pool is also a wonderful place to relax.
Gourmets will also get their money's worth at the Arena Grand Kažela Campsite. Two restaurants serve local specialities of Istrian cuisine. The fast food restaurant is ideal for a quick bite in between meals. There are also several bars and beach bars with snacks and cool drinks on site. Self-catering guests can buy fresh food in the well-stocked supermarket.
The wide range of leisure activities and sports on offer at the Arena Grand Kažela Campsite ensures that there is never a dull moment. In the "Artur Kids Club" or the "A2 animation programme" for adults, young and old alike will quickly make friends. The Peekaboo playroom is a favourite meeting place for the youngest campers up to the age of 10, where they can let off steam on the climbing walls, slides and other attractions. Adults can get the day off to an active start with morning gymnastics, play beach volleyball, tennis and table tennis or attend an aerobics class right by the sea. The camp also offers countless activities for water sports enthusiasts: accompanied by the diving centre's professionals, holidaymakers can explore the fascinating underwater world off the coast. The diving centre also offers diving lessons for beginners. Water skiing, banana boating and jet skiing are also available for those who prefer a more leisurely pace. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can hire a pedalo to explore the Adriatic coast from the water. Alternatively, the surf school offers surfing courses for beginners and advanced surfers.
It is not far from the Arena Grand Kažela Campsite to the centre of the popular holiday resort of Medulin, 2 kilometres away. Holidaymakers can stroll along the beautiful coastline or hire a bike from the bike hire shop. In addition to numerous shops and ice cream parlours, Medulin also has a small amusement park for children. There are also well-developed cycle paths around the town, where you can actively discover nature.
One popular route leads to the fascinating Cape Kamenjak Nature Park in the far south of Istria. Here, the brave can plunge from metre-high cliffs into the sea. If you want to get to know Istria on horseback, there is a riding stable 3 kilometres from the campsite. A ride with the good-natured animals takes you through the unspoilt hinterland. Thanks to the journey time of just 20 minutes, the former Roman town of Pula is also a popular excursion destination. Here, relics from antiquity such as the large amphitheatre await interested visitors.
