Liguria is a very popular region with tourists. That's why there is a large selection of campsites in the region known as the "Riviera of Flowers". However, this also means that you should book early and reserve your pitch in advance, especially in summer, as it can get quite crowded.

Holiday village in beautiful surroundings right by the sea with a view of the Gulf of Moneglia. In addition to pitches with panoramic views, campers can also stay in mobile homes: There are wooden bungalows with 2 or 3 rooms on the site - all units have a terrace and sea view.
Camping Lino near the old pirates' nest of Cervo is a beautiful and relaxing oasis of peace with pitches, flats and spacious mobile homes. There is a large private sandy beach for guests right next to the campsite. If you don't fancy the salt water, simply visit the swimming pool on the campsite.
Camping La Sfinge (The Sphinx) is located between Portofino and the famous Cinque Terre in a picturesque valley between an old pine forest and acacia trees. Those who love camping right by the sea will be in their element in Liguria: The Italian Riviera of the "Flower Coast" is known for its many beautiful beaches and is perfect for a beach holiday. Almost all of the campsites are located close to the water.
Due to the steep coastline, the hinterland of Liguria is often difficult to access - the campsites are therefore usually easily accessible along the coastal road. Another practical feature: many campsites have a private sandy beach that is reserved exclusively for campsite guests. However, if there is no private beach, this is no big deal. In general, you can bring your four-legged friend camping with you in Liguria. However, you must observe a few rules. For example, many campsites require dogs to be kept on a lead and, according to the law in Italy, you must always carry a muzzle and lead with you.
Find out what the rules are at the respective campsite before your stay. Some campsites only allow you to bring dogs in your own motorhome or caravan. In some cases, they are not permitted in mobile homes. You should find out about this in advance.
You should also be careful when taking your dog to the beach. Officially, this is only permitted on designated dog beaches - however, four-legged friends are also tolerated on many other stretches of beach. Be sure to check whether there is a no dogs sign on a beach - you are not allowed to take your dog here under any circumstances.

There are basically two options for travelling to Finale Ligure. The first route is from Stuttgart via Switzerland, the second option is from Munich via Austria. Both routes run through extremely scenic Alpine landscapes, so the journey alone is an experience.
The total distance from Stuttgart to Finale Ligure is 688 kilometres. The first section of the route runs along the A81 motorway from Stuttgart to the Swiss border near Schaffhausen. A valid identity card is required for travelling through Switzerland. In addition, an annual vignette is required to use the motorway, which can be purchased at most petrol stations. Alternatively, you can cross Switzerland on country roads and motorways.
From Schaffhausen, the journey continues via Winterthur, through the city of Zurich and through the mountainous canton of Ticino to the border town of Chiasso, where you can refuel and recharge your motorhome. The rest of the route takes you past Milan and Genoa to your destination. Toll stations may cross your path on Italian motorways.
