In addition to the possibility of camping by the sea, the campsites also offer interesting options for hikers, nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts thanks to their proximity to wild natural landscapes. The proximity to the German border also ensures a pleasantly short journey time with a motorhome or caravan. When camping in Finale Ligure, the mountains meet the sea more directly than anywhere else in Liguria - an exciting combination that attracts countless campers to the Riviera di Ponente every year. Not to mention that Finale Ligure is one of the most popular regions for sport climbing in Europe.
The geographical location and thematic orientation of the campsites is pleasantly varied and covers a wide range of activities: Bathing enthusiasts will find their happiness at campsites near the beach, while campsites on the quiet outskirts of the city strike a pleasant balance between green nature and proximity to the sights of the old town.

In addition to pitches, campers can usually also stay in mobile homes, holiday flats, bungalows or other rental accommodation. Dogs and other pets are allowed on many campsites in Finale Ligure.
Even though Finale Ligure is now primarily known for its climbing routes and climbing areas, camping in Finale Ligure is also an excellent starting point for extensive hiking or mountain bike tours. The mountainous and densely wooded hinterland is largely uninhabited and provides an interesting and no less attractive contrast to the endless sandy beaches of the Riviera Ligure.

Directly from the campsite you can see the "Monte Cucco" and the "Rocca di Perti", two of the most popular destinations for climbers in the region.
The AgriBike campsite is a real insider tip for nature lovers, as it is not accessible by car. That's why there are only pitches for tents here. In any case, campers with tents will find a wonderful spot in the middle of unspoilt nature near the Bergeggi and Spotorno nature reserves. Electricity connections are available and the site also has a small restaurant serving regional specialities made on site.
There are basically two options for travelling to Finale Ligure. The first route is from Stuttgart via Switzerland, the second option is from Munich via Austria. Both routes run through extremely scenic Alpine landscapes, so the journey alone is an experience.
The total distance from Stuttgart to Finale Ligure is 688 kilometres. The first section of the route runs along the A81 motorway from Stuttgart to the Swiss border near Schaffhausen. A valid identity card is required for travelling through Switzerland. In addition, an annual vignette is required to use the motorway, which can be purchased at most petrol stations. Alternatively, you can cross Switzerland on country roads and motorways.
From Schaffhausen, the journey continues via Winterthur, through the city of Zurich and through the mountainous canton of Ticino to the border town of Chiasso, where you can refuel and recharge your motorhome. The rest of the route takes you past Milan and Genoa to your destination. Toll stations may cross your path on Italian motorways.
The journey from Munich via Lindau, eastern Switzerland and Ticino is 684 kilometres, or 754 kilometres via the alternative route through the Austrian Alps and South Tyrol. Along the way, campers will pass through the towns of Bolzano, Trento and Verona.
Varied natural landscapes, magnificent historical sights and many opportunities for excursions and activities make the region in the north-western province of Liguria one of the most attractive holiday destinations in Italy.
The beautiful sandy beaches of Finale Ligure stretch over a length of 14 kilometres. The first port of call for a day at the seaside with the whole family is the Bagni Garibaldi lido with its wide sandy beach on the palm-fringed promenade. There is also a children's playground and the Bagni Nazionali lido, and the town centre of Finale Ligure is just a stone's throw away.
The wide sandy beach Bagni G.B. Boncardo is particularly suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Paddle boats can also be hired on this beach. Dog owners in Finale Ligure can bring their four-legged friends to the sea at the Lungomare Augusto Migliorini dog beach, which is subject to a charge.
Finalborgo is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and has retained an authentic medieval atmosphere with its labyrinthine alleyways, lively squares and old churches. The entire town is surrounded by a completely preserved medieval wall, with four gates providing the only access to the historic centre. The cobbled alleyways and magnificent Renaissance palaces invite you to take an extended exploration tour with many exciting discoveries.
The capital of the province of Liguria is a wonderful destination for a day trip with the whole family. Highlights for children include the aquarium, where you can admire sea creatures up close, and the children's city. In this adventure park, children can learn about technology and water in a playful way and older guests may also learn a new thing or two.
This beautiful stalactite cave on the Ligurian coast is a veritable underground labyrinth that stretches for several kilometres below ground. Only a relatively small part is accessible to visitors, but that is an experience in itself. The wonderful colours, several underground lakes and the diverse shapes of the stalactites make the Borgio Verezzi caves an absolute must-see.
Whether on land or water: outdoor activities and excursions in the great outdoors are very popular in the region around Ligure Finale.
More than 3000 climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty make Finale Ligure the Mecca of sport climbing in Europe. The routes range from short sport climbing routes to alpine ascents and are generally quite technically demanding. They are therefore less suitable for beginners. In many cases, however, the approach alone via adventurous hiking trails is an adventure in itself. And, as we all know, it's also fun to watch.
In addition to climbing, Finale Ligure has also become an extremely popular destination for mountain bikers. The trails offer wonderful views of the sea, are in excellent condition and are also regularly maintained. As with climbing, the same applies here: Finale Ligure is probably too big for mountain bike beginners. But for those who have already done a few laps, this is a wonderful biking area that can compete with the best in Europe.
The Riviera Ligure stretches from the far west of Italy on the French border along the Gulf of Genoa to Sarzana on the border with Tuscany. Like almost everywhere else on the Italian Riviera, Finale Ligure is characterised by the finest sandy beaches.
Well-equipped beaches include the Spiaggia Libera Attrezzata and the Spiaggia dei Neri on the 1.2 km stretch of coast in front of the town. In addition to excellent restaurants and bars on the smart beach promenade, there are also parasols, sunbeds and water sports facilities. And if you search a little, you will of course also find some more secluded spots.
The Finale Ligure Archaeological Museum in Finalborgo exhibits artefacts dating back to the Stone Age. Tools, human skeletons, wall paintings and everyday objects impressively illustrate the hard life of people in earlier times. The historic Porta Testa city gate, the Porta Reale monument and the Chiesa dei Padri Scolopi church are all within walking distance of the museum.
Finale Ligure offers a wide range of events and celebrations throughout the year:
In Finale Ligure, traditional Ligurian cuisine is lived and loved. It combines the best from the depths of the sea with homemade pasta and authentic meat specialities from the hinterland.
Heavenly pesto made from typical Mediterranean ingredients such as basil, extra virgin olive oil from the region and Parmesan cheese is one of Liguria's many culinary favourites. It goes well with pasta of all kinds, such as trofie.
Air-dried ham with homemade bread and a little olive oil or Ligurian salami are further highlights of the regional cuisine, which go perfectly with a local red wine. You should also try rose syrup, purple asparagus, farinata and bitter orange blossom water.
The period between June and September is particularly suitable for bathers in Finale Ligure. The water temperatures are comparatively high and water temperatures of over 20 degrees Celsius can still be measured in many places in October. Hikers, climbers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts should also aim for the low season in spring and autumn. Mild temperatures prevail at this time and the landscapes are no less scenic. The region is also less crowded.
Due to its location between the Mediterranean and the Alps, Finale Ligure generally has a temperate Mediterranean climate with continental influences, which are particularly noticeable in the mountainous hinterland. Mild winters with average temperatures between 7 and 14 degrees Celsius and warm, but rarely extremely hot summers make camping holidays in Finale Ligure a pleasant experience all year round.
