Camping De Pampel

The site is located next to many other camping grounds in the middle of a nature reserve with plenty of forest. Due to the spacious layout and many trees, there is never a feeling of overcrowding. Many parking spots are equipped with private sanitation cabins. Each camper has enough space, and the other facilities are very clean. The only downside is the Wi-Fi. Contrary to the claims on the homepage, it is not free (2€/day) and has horrifically poor network quality. Although there are many access points, there is often no internet due to overload.

We booked this campsite early on with an attractive discount back in winter 2019 for our caravan holiday. At that time, we were not aware that we would be going on vacation with a motorhome over 8 meters long instead of our caravan. Despite all the changes in circumstances (vehicle change, COVID restrictions, and measures... etc.), we received excellent service and information. A large pitch area, in the middle of which there was a sports field and playground equipment for children, became our booked spot for 14 days of summer vacation and relaxation. The campsite also offers subdivided pitches with greenery and shade, as well as open areas with light and wide views. The campsite is very modern and well-maintained. During peak season, the site and facilities were relatively clean and hygiene was ensured. Animation programs for children provided great entertainment, and the entire surrounding area of the Hooge Veluwe and the many wonderful towns offer numerous opportunities for zoo visits, museums, walking, cycling, relaxing, as well as shopping and cultural experiences. Food and drink were also not overlooked. The small grocery store on the site was only open for limited hours and was very small and poorly equipped. The kiosk and snack bar, as well as the food truck festival and fruit vendors offered more opportunities for culinary enjoyment. Friendly and helpful staff, and clear rules about distancing and hygiene during the COVID pandemic. One loves to go on vacation here and can truly relax!
