The ideal time of year for a camping holiday in the Lienz Dolomites depends on your own preferences. At the height of summer, between July and August, it rarely gets warmer than 18 degrees Celsius in the mountains. East Tyrol's only natural swimming lake, Lake Tristach, is located in the valley, where warmer temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius prevail in summer. The water is also a pleasant 24 degrees Celsius, making it perfect for a refreshing swim with the whole family.
