Walch’s Camping & Landhaus

The pitches are very small. You cannot decide how to position your caravan yourself, as everyone must be aligned in the same way. There is even someone from the campsite who accompanies you to ensure you are correctly parked. It feels more like a caravan storage. The sanitary facilities are clean.

The facilities were really nice, the bathrooms and washing area was a quick walk from the tent place. Electricity was also accessible easily at the tent sites. Very friendly reception, helpful staff, very clean campsite - especially the washrooms, the facilities (sauna, refrigerator, and freezer for general use). Standplatz/Mietunterkunft: The pitch was very clean, easily accessible with a caravan and electricity was nearby.

There's not much to do at the campsite. Perhaps some animation for the kids. Food facilities at the campsite would not be a bad idea. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Noisy neighbors. The campsite managers had a word with them. After that, no more issues.

Pros

Nice: the tent field, the covered table tennis area, the indoor lounge, and the sauna facilities. The sanitary and washing-up facilities are also great. Plenty of informational brochures. Great waste station. Very clean. Campsite/Rental accommodation: The tent field is very pleasant: spacious, with a beautiful view, sociable with the playing children, on the grass.

Cons

One minor downside: the caravans and campers are quite close to each other, which offers little privacy, as there are no bushes in between.

👍 The campsite was very clean and the additional guest card, offering discounts for outings in the area, was very pleasant. The saunas were nice and well-maintained. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Beautiful view, close to the sanitation facilities, and reasonably shaded areas. 👎 In the descriptions of the campsite, it seems that there are more activities in the surrounding area than there actually are. For instance, the swimming pool is not really within walking distance (27 minutes instead of the described 15), and the active options are at least a half-hour drive away. Additionally, we missed a place to cool off properly at the sauna (like a plunge pool). This would truly make the wellness experience perfect. Pitch/Rental accommodation: There is really very little privacy at the campsite. For a campsite with wellness and a 'feng shui' layout, we expected not to be woken up every morning at six by crying children. The campsite ...

Pros

We were there with our two children (3 and 7 years old). The campsite is not too large, so the children could wander everywhere freely. The sauna area was fantastic. The sanitary facilities are very clean. There is a common room and a playroom, which is especially good during rain. Site/Rental accommodation: We were there with the camper, and had a direct view of the mountains.
