Bled & Lake Bled: One of the most beautiful destinations in Slovenia is Lake Bled and the spa town of Bled. Formed by the Bohinj Glacier, there are several thermal springs on its shores, whose beneficial effects should also be utilised by campers. It is worth exploring Lake Bled by boat or travelling around it on foot, by bike or in a horse-drawn carriage on a 6 km circular trail. Surrounded by the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park, this unique holiday region can be enjoyed to the full.
Ljubljana: The capital of Slovenia is an experience in itself. A visit to the castle is a must in this lively metropolis and the view of the old town is simply unique. In addition to the historic city centre, Ljubljana presents itself as a modern metropolis with many young inhabitants. The city is relatively small by European standards with a population of around 300,000, but it has developed a charm all of its own that is hard for visitors to resist.
Postojna Caves: Anyone with a penchant for impressive natural sights will be thrilled by the Postojna Caves. With the only double-track underground railway in Europe, visitors can travel almost four kilometres into the cave interior and admire these wonders created by nature.
Predjama Cave Castle: The Predjama Cave Castle is a marvellous testimony to the past. The sight of it alone is enough to amaze people and you can also learn a lot inside the castle thanks to the audio guide, as the legend of the knight Erasmus of Predjama (the "Slovenian Robin Hood") circulates here.
Lesce near Radovljica & Lake Šobec: Lake Šobec and the Sava Dolinka river are located in the shady pine forest in Lesce near Radovljica: a wonderful place for water sports enthusiasts and dog owners. In addition to anglers, canoeists and kayakers, water hikers can also be found in the area. There is an artificial bathing lake near the Sava with an island and sunbathing area on the shore.

The prices for pitches at campsites in Slovenia vary greatly depending on the location and the time of year. On average, you will have to pay between 20 and 50 euros for a pitch. Wild camping is prohibited in Slovenia and is punishable by fines of up to 500 euros.
The condition of the sanitary facilities can vary considerably from campsite to campsite in Slovenia. There are very modern campsites whose sanitary facilities have been extensively renovated and meet high expectations. On the other hand, there are many campsites that are very close to nature, where guests have to make compromises and the sanitary facilities certainly take some getting used to.
The best time to visit Slovenia in terms of weather is summer, with daytime temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. The spring and autumn months have emerged as an insider tip. These are the ideal temperatures for long hikes or cycle tours without breaking a sweat. The climate on the Adriatic coast of Slovenia is Mediterranean: summers are warm at 28 degrees Celsius and winters are very mild at around 9 degrees Celsius. Beach holidaymakers mainly choose the months of June to September. During this time, you can also expect a pleasant water temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.
The Julian Alps are located in the Triglav National Park. This region therefore has an alpine climate: summers here are moderately warm and winters are particularly cold. Skiing season in Slovenia is from December to March - during this time there is snow in the Alps. In July and August, temperatures in this region are around 23 degrees Celsius.
There are also considerable differences in the infrastructure and means of transport. In very rural and nature-dominated regions, campers may have to travel longer distances to find a suitable shopping opportunity. The situation is similar with transport.
