From the campsites in Split-Dalmatia, culture fans can discover the impressive city of Split, which is known far beyond Croatia's borders for the ancient Diocletian's Palace. With its sandy bays, beaches and crystal-clear sea, the holiday region is also an Eldorado for families. Water sports enthusiasts can look forward to a diverse range of activities on the coast. Camping Stobreč Split, Camping Rožac and Autocamp Sirena have proven to be popular destinations.
If you are planning extensive sightseeing tours when camping in Split-Dalmatia, book a campsite near the historic harbour town of Split. There are also family-friendly campsites in Duce, 20 kilometres to the east. Here the shore slopes gently and is therefore also suitable for small children. Excursion boats to the nearby islands of Hvar and Brac leave regularly from the campsite in Omis.
There are also beautiful campsites near the town of Trogir at the entrance to Kastela Bay. Visitors to Croatia can spend their holiday in the fresh air on a small peninsula surrounded by the sea, for example. There are also campsites in Split-Dalmatia, which are located on terraced hills covered in pine trees. The pitches with fresh water connections, electricity and a view of the sea are very popular.
Alternatively, there are beautiful mobile homes on the beach with a living room, bedroom, bathroom, air conditioning, a kitchenette with hotplates, shower and, on request, a sofa bed. The fully equipped accommodation units provide guests with bed linen, towels, cutlery and cooking pots if required.
Other forms of accommodation are available in the form of a rental tent or a rental caravan.
To round off a camping holiday in Split-Dalmatia perfectly, campers can take advantage of the sports facilities and use the local shopping facilities for catering.
Most of the campsites in the region meet the highest standards. Modern sanitary facilities, perfect beach locations, pitches with sea views, pools and wellness facilities as well as spacious mobile homes can be found in many places. Of course, there are also campsites that focus more on unspoilt nature and originality. Travellers are spoilt for choice.
Camping Stobreč Split is likely to inspire many campers straight away. The city campsite in a direct beach location with perfect bus connections to Split offers relaxing and cultural aspects. The 600 metre long beach is certainly one of the reasons why many guests choose Camping Stobreč. A whirlpool, a heated outdoor pool and a sauna round off the already varied leisure facilities. Organised tours to the Krka waterfalls and Mostar can be booked at the campsite. In addition to the pitches with a view of the water, the mobile homes on the campsite can also provide a feel-good factor. Equipped with a living room, bathroom and bedroom, they make travellers' dreams come true. The ADAC and guests give Camping Stobreč excellent ratings.
Camping Rožac is located on a headland on the island of Čiovo. In the neighbourhood of a motorway with bus connections, getting there is no problem at all. The pitches directly on the beach are fantastic and are of course particularly popular. Who wouldn't want to have the sea and the beach on their doorstep early in the morning? The mobile homes with privacy screens and greenery promise sufficient privacy for guests.
The Sirena caravan camp in central Dalmatia offers its guests a great view of the nearby island of Brac, which is also a popular excursion destination. The terraced pitches, structured by natural stone walls, have electricity and fresh water connections. Two mobile homes are also available at the Autocamp for travellers without a tent or motorhome. Alternative campsites in Split-Dalmatia and Central Dalmatia include Autocamp Uvala Borova with its wonderful pitches with sea views, Camping Galeb with its charming mountain backdrop, Medora Orbis with mobile homes and pool and Camping Belvedere with pitches on a beautiful hillside overlooking the sea.
