Camp Almissa

Some reviews of the site are unfair; there is always an effort to maintain cleanliness and order (some campers should reflect on their own behavior); commendable was the tranquility on the site, a well-suited sandy beach for children and shallow water.

Very nicely redesigned with sufficiently large plots, friendly staff. You can choose between shady and sunny spots - beautiful sandy beach. Promenade with very good restaurants. Pools have been renovated. Sanitary facilities are old but clean and well maintained. Apparently, investments are currently being made here. Very nice dog beach directly at the site and also a dog shower.

The worst campsite filthy showers, non-draining urinals, overflowing trash bins, dirt everywhere on the site, WiFi only works occasionally, very unfriendly staff who are annoyed by complaints and make it evident, and almost twice as expensive as other sites - never again Camp Galeb ---- How does ADAC rate it 4 stars? Even one star would be too much!!!

We had booked 2 nights for the return trip. After 1 night we left because we did not like the site at all. It is certainly a matter of taste. Our site was very uneven with many huge roots, dirt, and no separation from the neighboring site. The sanitary building is quite old, but it was mostly clean. Unfortunately, it is very noisy and we did not like the beach. The food at the restaurant was okay. It is not particularly cheap either. Positively, it is close to the town of Omiš.

The view is great right on the coast and the tall trees provide excellent shade, the sanitary facilities are aging and too small, and the cleanliness is not optimal for 4 stars and the price

Pool dirty, the pool liner is brown at the waterline, pretty much everything is floating in the pool, and the sanitary facilities are old, which isn’t too bad, but it is unbelievably dirty.

We spent 2 days at this site at the end of August, which is nicely laid out, but completely unsuitable for swimming, as you have to wade through 200m of shallow water overgrown with water plants to then be able to swim outside the area marked by a buoy chain, endangered by watercraft! The water was also very murky, reminding me more of the upper Adriatic coasts. In the rear (and cheaper) part of the site, the noise from the passing coastal road is hardly bearable.
