How to get to Ötztal by campervan

The Ötztal is located in Tyrol and branches off in a southerly direction into the Eastern Alps. With a motorhome, you first drive over the Inntal valley and then into the entrance to the Ötztal valley. Please note: The motorways in Austria are subject to tolls and you also need a vignette, which must be affixed to the windscreen of the vehicle.

If you are travelling in winter, you should also be prepared for snow and ice. The camper should therefore be equipped accordingly in advance, for example with winter tyres and snow chains.

There are increased checks at the Kufstein-Kiefersfelden border crossing in Bavaria, especially in winter. However, this only affects holidaymakers travelling from Germany on the A93 motorway. Other border crossings are currently not checked.
