Bardolino offers you almost everything you need for a relaxing camping holiday. You can enjoy a wonderful swim on the numerous beautiful beaches. Hiking trails lead through the charming landscape of the Riviera of Olives to the neighbouring towns of Garda and Lazise. If you are looking for urban flair, you will find restaurants, shops, bars and discos for night owls around Piazza Principe Amedeo. Here are some tips and suggestions for excursions and activities during your camping holiday in Bardolino.
The former fishing village of Bardolino is now a bustling tourist centre. Start your stroll through the town in the lively Piazza Principe Amedeo and then stroll through the neighbouring alleyways. There are also several sights for culture vultures, including the well-preserved church of San Nicolo with its frescoes and colourful stained glass windows and the Lombard crypt in San Severo.
The southern district of Cisano is somewhat quieter and the place for those looking for a little distance from the tourist crowds. There is a weekly market every Monday and Thursday, where you can buy local specialities at reasonable prices. Be sure to visit the olive oil museum, which is well worth a visit. In this unique exhibition, you can find out how olive oil used to be produced and what it is used for.

There are numerous theme parks, water parks and amusement parks on Lake Garda, which are primarily aimed at families. The area has the highest density of amusement parks in the whole of Italy - so there really is something for everyone here. Bardolino is located in one of Italy's most famous wine-growing regions. It is therefore well worth exploring the surrounding area and tasting the region's produce at one of the many wineries. Villa Calicantus is located just one kilometre from Cisano and has many fine wines in its cellar. We also recommend the Tenuta Preella Lamberti winery, where you can sample the best wines from the surrounding area every day.
If you are interested in viticulture, visit the Zeni Wine Museum - a wine tasting is of course also included. Be sure to try the two most famous Bardolino wines - the sparkling Bardolino and the lighter-coloured Chiaretto. The Bardolino wine gets its special flavour from the Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grape varieties. When buying, look out for the Classico label - these are wines from the core growing areas of Lazise, Bardolino and Affi. With the quality level "DOCG", the wine then becomes "Superiore" - these are particularly fine wines and a nice souvenir to take home.
