We have been coming to this site with our dog for 13 years. Essentially a beautifully landscaped site, with large pitches, sometimes pleasantly shaded. Since the takeover by Sandaya, cleanliness in some areas has suffered. The modern sanitation facilities are relatively clean, but calcified shower heads, loose toilet lids, corners that are not cleaned, mar the overall picture. Lights in the toilet facilities that have been broken for the second year now. Poorly maintained washing machines and dryers suggest a maintenance backlog or cost savings. Some pitches could use an upgrade as they are uneven and filled with many tree roots and are no longer so inviting. In recent years, the area of mobile homes has increased significantly, so the camping area is well occupied until the end of the season. Spontaneous arrivals are hardly possible.

Since the handover to Sandaya, the service has greatly deteriorated. Not reachable by phone (number not assigned) German number. Only French staff. And due to the bad weather at Easter, we canceled on our side (as a precaution) and through indications from the radio and press. No goodwill from Sandaya. We have often spent holidays here, but now we are going elsewhere. That's how they wanted it. Other campsites are also nice.

The site has direct access to the sea. There are showers at the entrances. The pool area is very clean and beautifully landscaped. Sanitary facilities are of good standard and very clean. Otherwise, the site feels like its own village. The supermarket offers very good value for money. The pitches are nicely parcelled and large enough (we had a Comfort pitch). There is a lot offered for children (including animation). There are also various activities for teenagers and adults. The restaurant felt a bit uncomfortable for us. Food is also available for takeout and the pizza is recommended. The dog beach is rather small. We will definitely come back.

We are here now for the 5th and last time. The staff is friendly and the pool as well as the sea is great. However, there are also negatives. Although the place is well-filled, half of the toilets are quickly closed. Especially pleasant in the morning hours when they are being cleaned at this time. The mentioned midday rest is pointed out in 4 languages but is not maintained. The stated price with ADAC Card is also not granted. It seems to be affordable if you are the only place still open.

We are here for the 2nd time this year. We have always used a mobile home (2 adults and 2 dogs). The bungalows are a bit outdated, but some other mobile homes have been newly set up, and they are well arranged so that everyone still has some privacy. Unfortunately, many pitches had to give way for the new mobile homes, which creates the impression that the site is more interested in renting out these homes and is obviously changing in that direction. Everything I have to complain about is not something the site operators are responsible for. Mosquito swarms or holidaymakers who do not clean up after their four-legged friends, walk over foreign plots, or even let their dogs urinate on the bicycles parked on the other plots, parents who prefer to look at their phones rather than deal with their whiny, stressful children, and so on --- in short, the vacation is more spoiled by fellow holidaymakers than by the site operators. The site overall is super clean, the wash houses are constantly cleaned, and the beach is alright.

We have vacationed here for the third time. We reserved a long time in advance and received a confirmation right away. Final payment 45 days beforehand. It was incorrectly booked by the system, but after a long phone call, it was clarified, as payment was made by credit card. Online check-in went well, but on-site, the employee completely overrode everything only to find out that it was indeed correct. Our spot was large and shady. The washroom in the non-pet zone was actually continuously not clean. Both the toilets and the showers were unclean. Even the washing area was very often dirty. I expect more for 5 stars! The changes on the site are really a matter of taste; we do not like them anymore. The beach for private loungers is an imposition. Only rented loungers are available in large quantities. We are definitely looking for alternatives.

Camping Europa has invested a lot during the winter break to make the place seemingly more attractive. However, in my view, this comes at the expense of the campers. A large part of the camping area has been sacrificed for bungalows, and the beach promenade had to give way to be able to offer 5 bungalows with exclusive sea views. The free lying areas on the beach had to make way for fixed loungers that are included with the bungalows. Campers with caravans, motorhomes, or tents have to rely on a rather small (and thus very narrow) area between the beach with loungers and the dog beach (where the landing stage for the pirate ship and the sea activities are located). Alternatively, you can book loungers daily for a fee. We visited this year for the 5th time and had previously always been able to specify wishes when booking, which were also taken into account; this year that seemed to be impossible. We had booked in January and asked for a shaded spot (since we have very small children), however, we got a spot that was in the sun all day long from the morning, so a midday nap on the spot was out of the question. When I tried to change this on-site directly, I was met with the response: We are fully booked, I would have to "move" on a daily basis. For campers, the standard compared to the past years has not changed or if at all has gone negative, but the price spiral has definitely turned significantly upwards (paid almost 40% more for the booking). Thus, campers feel like they have to financially support the bungalows but are actually no longer welcome.....in short: After 4 wonderful vacations and this year’s vacation (which was also nice) we will look for alternatives. Super unfortunate, my children totally celebrate Jupi (and I have 4 :-)). As I have heard, we are not alone in this, many (especially returnees) feel the same way :-().
