Camping in Lourdes always offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Open from March to October, families and couples enjoy the quiet location not far from the Pyrenees. Many campsites in Lourdes have cosy barbecue areas with picnic tables. There are special playgrounds for small children so that they can be supervised at all times. Adults can treat themselves to some time out in the wellness area.
Motorhomes are available for hire all year round, allowing holidaymakers to explore the surrounding area without their own vehicle. A trip to the Val d'Azun in the Pyrenees National Park is an experience for every camping fan: white water rafting, zip-lining, paragliding, bungee jumping, great climbing routes and a ski area in winter make the hearts of active camping guests beat faster. The village of Arrens-Marsous is located in the heart of the Pyrenees. From there, you can set off on marvellous excursions and hikes into the nature of the Pyrenees.
Due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the climate in Lourdes is mild, but with 120 days of rain per year, it is also quite humid. The best time to visit is from March to October. In the summer months of June, July and August, with maximum temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius, it is not as hot as you would expect in the south of France. In spring and autumn, it is also pleasantly warm at 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. In winter, the temperature drops to just above zero degrees Celsius.
