Camping Bois Soleil (Saint-Georges-de-Didonne)

The Bois de Soleil family campsite is located directly on the Atlantic coast. The sun shines longer here than in other regions of France and the fragrant pine forests provide shade. A total of five areas are available in the midst of an enchanting natural landscape. The campsite is very spacious, with a pool, restaurant, supermarket, playgrounds, sports fields and wellness facilities. There is direct access to the fine sandy beach.

Bois de Soleil: sandy beach meets pine forest

Camping Bois de Soleil is located near Royan on the coast of beauty. Idyllic forests and villages characterise the seaside landscape here. The 4.5-star campsite is around 3 kilometres from the village of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne in Nouvelle Aquitaine. The region offers extensive beaches with small bays and sparse pine forests. Only a low dune separates Camping Bois de Soleil from the sandy beach, which is 150 metres long and 20 metres wide. Due to the shallow shore and the tide, it is ideal for swimming and splashing around, even for small children. The 143 parcelled out pitches for guests are mainly located in the main Parc les Pines, where it is shady to semi-shady. Sunny and quiet pitches are also available in Parc la Mer on the edge of the sea. There are amenities for campers, such as sufficient CEE sockets, sanitary facilities, washing machines, dishwashing facilities and tumble dryers. Dogs are not allowed on the campsite. A well-stocked supermarket offers shopping facilities and there is a restaurant on the site. A large pool, an entertainment programme, sports facilities and a wellness area with whirlpool and Turkish steam bath ensure that there is never a dull moment.

Activities and excursion destinations

The campsite's parks are divided into different areas. Parc La Foret, 200 metres from the beach, has a playground, paddling pool, TV room, table tennis and trampoline. The Parc de Loisirs and Parc La Dordogne offer leisure activities such as boules, a petanque court, table tennis, a children's playground, volleyball and basketball. There are also bouncy castles for children and teenagers, as well as archery and pony rides. Cycling tours in the charming surroundings are also very popular. A trip to Talmond sur Gironde or Royan is well worthwhile. In Rochefort, you can visit the frigate Hermione, on which La Fayette sailed to Boston in 1780 to support the Americans in their fight for freedom. Children love the aquarium in La Rochelle and the Pôle-Nature du Parc de l'Estuaire in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne.
