Camping du Domaine de Massereau

The pitches are nice and large, but there is only water on the pitch, no wastewater! The sanitary building is a disaster. Dirty and in many places dilapidated. There is a risk of injury from broken tiles, but nothing is cordoned off. When you are in the shower and someone next door is on the toilet, you not only hear every sound but can also smell everything! The toilets are wall to wall with the showers, open at the top and bottom. In some showers, only cold water comes out. For two days, there was only cold water in the entire sanitary house, unfortunately, no notice was made, when we informed the reception they told us that the problem was known, the technician will come sometime. The hand soap has not been refilled since we have been here (over a week). Out of 6 washing machines, only 3 work.

I cannot confirm a lot of the information provided on the PINCAMP site. I was at this facility in June 2024. There are not 117 pitches, but only 20, for example. There is also no sewage connection at the pitch. You sometimes have to walk far to empty your waste tank. The description provided here fits the campsite until 2023 inclusive. Since 2024, it has become less of a campsite and more of a Mobile Home holiday village.

👍 The size of the pitch was more than sufficient. Our request for a shady pitch was met. Pitch/Accommodation: We really liked that the pitches (large parts of them) are wooded. 👎 Unfortunately, not all dog owners were exemplary in dealing with dog waste, which they simply left lying around. Pitch/Accommodation: The opening hours of the pool (18+) could be extended to at least 8:00 PM.

👍 The restaurant's offerings are far superior to all the places we have visited. Site/accommodation: A lovingly designed overall facility. Site/accommodation: The trees were almost too low for our tall motorhome.

The sanitary facilities are very new. Very clean. Cleaned several times a day. Equipment is perfect. With air conditioning. Pitch sites with water and wastewater connections. The pitches are huge. Partly with tree cover - very useful when the sun is shining brightly. Excellent restaurant on site. Price/performance ratio = top. Supermarket offers baguettes and croissants and otherwise the bare necessities. Due to the tree cover, the campsite is not suitable for 11m long, 15-ton motorhomes. (A Morelo Gran Empire was here and sometimes did not fit under the trees; in the end, the driver, with the help of the campsite staff, found his way, but it was a challenge.). The bridge on site is not the problem. I saw 2.50 m wide vehicles (motorhome and also caravan) crossing the bridge. There was at least 15 cm of space left on the left and right, probably more. The swimming pool consists of 3 basins. One of them can only be used from 18 years old. There, you can have your peace. Access to the campsite: We took exit No. 26 (Gallargues) from the A9. Then you do not have to drive through the town of Sommières. The staff is super friendly and incredibly helpful. We needed leveling plates to align the caravan, which were immediately provided. I ordered something from Amazon.fr - it was brought to our caravan. We will definitely come back!

👋 The staff was super welcoming, smiling, and very responsive. We needed a service twice, and it was provided to us immediately... The campsite is very clean; you feel at home. The bike path adjacent to the campsite is quite convenient... Location/Rental accommodation: Nice spot close to the sanitary facilities as requested. 👎 The temperature of the pool was a bit too low for my taste.

👍 Quiet and large camping spot, friendly staff, excellent toilet and shower facilities, convenient location in relation to Sommieres, beautiful surroundings with plenty of cycling opportunities.
