The market town of Schörfling with the impressive Kammer Castle, which is located on an island, is a recommendation for campers. The Gustav Klimt theme trail is an insider tip. Altmünster with Ebenzweier Castle and Traunsee Castle is a small leisure paradise. 88 km of hiking trails, 84 km of cycle and mountain bike trails, beach volleyball and horse riding are available to guests of the market town. Recommended excursion destinations are Attnang-Puchheim, Weyregg and Weißenbach.

Weather

The months of May to September are ideal for a **family and activity holiday **at the campsites on Lake Attersee. This is when the air warms up to 20 degrees Celsius and above and the weather is perfect for excursions. If you are planning a swimming holiday, it is best to go camping on Lake Attersee from June to August. At the height of summer, the lake is pleasantly warm with temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius.
