Turquoise blue water, gently sloping, light-coloured sandy beaches, olive trees and magnificent cultural treasures make Corfu one of Greece's most popular islands - and a dream destination for campers. Families with children love the proximity to the beaches, while water sports enthusiasts are drawn to the coast when camping on Corfu to take advantage of the fantastic wind conditions for sailing and surfing. Those interested in culture should take a trip to Corfu Town, where the historic Old Fortress and the Temple of Artemis await.
Corfu has a whole range of campsites spread across the entire island. However, most of the campsites are located on the coast. So it's never far to the nearest beach - and Corfu has some really great beaches.
Some campsites on Corfu are located north of the island's capital, Corfu Town, on Daphnila Bay, which is known for its gently sloping sandy beaches. The journey from Corfu Town takes less than 20 minutes. A little further north, there are also family-friendly campsites right on the beach in Dassia. From the campsites it is only a stone's throw to the varied water sports facilities and the bars and restaurants in the centre.
Because of the 8 km long sandy beach, families like to choose the campsites on Corfu in the north. Fantastic conditions for splashing around and building sandcastles can be found in Achavari at the foot of the highest mountain, Pantokrator. The west coast also enchants with campsites in marvellous locations. In Paleokastritsa, for example, campers can look forward to olive groves and romantic bays.
In addition to pitches for motorhomes and caravans, the campsites usually also have tent pitches and rental bungalows, rental houses or mobile homes. Electricity connections and water supply are usually available. Depending on the site, there is also rental equipment and cooking facilities for self-catering.

Highlights include the Venetian New Fortress with a great view of the harbour and the Old Fortress, built in the 15th century in the east of the city, where there is a small chapel and mosaics. The esplanade is a beautiful green area right by the water, where you can take an excellent stroll.
