Luxury camping in France with glamping in Burgundy
For many, Burgundy in the heart of France is one of the most unspoilt regions in the country. Holidaymakers like to round off the perfect day of glamping in Burgundy with a glass of traditional Burgundy wine: Pinot Noir, Chardonnais and Beaujolais are some of the well-known varieties.
A hike through the romantic vineyards is a must when glamping in Burgundy. Some winegrowers open their cellar doors and offer tastings on site. The vineyards, known as "Climats", have even been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to first-class wines, Burgundy has many culinary highlights to offer: Boeuf bourgignon, which is prepared with red wine, is the region's most famous dish. The famous mustard from Dijon is often served with fondue bourgignonne.
The capital of Burgundy, Dijon, is not only worth a visit for its mustard. As soon as you arrive from your luxury mobile home or glamping tent, it becomes clear why Dijon is known as the city of 100 towers. Art fans are drawn to the Musée des Beaux-Arts, where paintings and sculptures are on display. If you want to discover the holiday region on foot, set off on a hike from your rental accommodation in Burgundy. The extensive network of paths covers around 6,000 kilometres.
