Camping du Pont de Bourgogne is a great starting point for holidaymakers interested in culture to discover the historic old town of Chalon-sur-Saône. The campsite is located on the outskirts of Saint Marcel, but the town of Chalon-sur-Saône is only a stone's throw away. This means you can combine a camping holiday in idyllic surroundings with the amenities of a town. The pitches on the natural camping site are separated from each other by small hedges. The ground is slightly undulating and partly gravelled and partly grassy.
Affordable starting point for visits to the historic old town of Chalon-sur-Saône.

Quiet campsite with plenty of greenery and trees. The pitch/accommodation is beautifully located by the river.
The restaurant area is not appealing. Pitch/accommodation: overdue maintenance.

We spent a night on our way south. The campsite is simple in terms of amenities but has everything you need. Free choice of pitch, a lot of greenery, and the city is reachable on foot with many restaurants at all price ranges.

Decent spots for campers, caravans, and tents, beautifully located by the Saone within walking distance of the center of Chalon, ideal for short bike rides, with a large park nearby and clean toilets and showers. There is actually only one downside, which is the sometimes busy road on the east side of the campsite during peak times. Suitable for one or a few days for city lovers and cyclists. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Clean toilets, shower, and washing facilities. The entrance looks a bit messy but is quite acceptable overall.
Pitch/Rental accommodation: The road on the east side sometimes caused quite a bit of noise. It's best to stay as close to the water as possible.

The staff at the reception was super nice and helpful, highly recommended. The small town invites you to stroll around and is very easily accessible on foot, absolutely recommended 💖. Pitch/Rental accommodation: The freedom of pitch choice is very pleasant and many pitches also provide shade through trees.

Many diverse pitches, free choice of location, and the option to stay connected. Pitch/Rental accommodation: We had a very spacious 'double' pitch. Thanks to the free choice, it was possible to find spots in both sunlight and shade.
