Special features of camping in Lido di Jesolo

Sun, beach and dolce far niente are the advantages of a holiday in Jesolo. If you want to be independent and enjoy the summer to the full, spend your holiday at a campsite in Lido di Jesolo. The local campsites are characterised by their proximity to the kilometre-long sandy beach and their family-friendliness.

There is a wide range of activities for children in Jesolo, dog owners are delighted with the friendly welcome and couples can stroll along the wide promenade in the evening. However, a stay at a campsite in Lido di Jesolo is also interesting for culture lovers, as Venice can be easily reached by ferry.

Overnight stays in a mobile home are typical of campsites in Italy. These rental accommodations with sea views guarantee a great deal of privacy and are ideal for families. In addition to the bathing facilities by the sea, they also have impressive bathing areas with children's pool and swimming pool.

Arrival

There are two ways to get here from Germany. Firstly, you can take the A10 and A2 motorways via Villach. Holidaymakers can easily reach Jesolo via Udine on the A23 motorway and later on the A4. The route from Munich is around 550 kilometres long.

Another option is to travel via the A7 motorway through North and South Tyrol. This involves travelling over the Brenner Pass. The Brenner motorway continues towards Verona and from there it is quick and easy to Jesolo. Travelling from Stuttgart, the route is around 730 km long.

For holidaymakers from the north of Germany, for example, the distance from Berlin is around 1100 km. In southern Bavaria and Austria there are many campsites and rest areas that can be used for an overnight stay or a stopover.

In the main travelling season, the routes are very busy, especially at weekends. In order to avoid the toll fee and vignette requirement in Austria, it is recommended that campers use the well-developed country roads as an alternative.

Catering

Due to its tourist focus, Jesolo not only offers excellent regional cuisine. International dishes can also be found on the menus of the numerous restaurants. The dishes are characterised by the location by the sea and include many fish dishes.

Typical of Italy is the deep-fried preparation of the smaller fish and crustaceans, known as fritti misto. Larger fish and crustaceans, which usually end up freshly caught in the kitchen, are prepared and served in the traditional way. Pike, carp and trout come from the two nearby rivers Piave and Sile. Of course, Jesolo also offers a wide variety of pizzas and pastas and you should definitely try one of the Italian desserts to round off your meal.

Best time to visit

The climate in Jesolo can be described as warm and temperate. Spring and autumn offer comparatively mild temperatures and are particularly suitable for active holidaymakers and those interested in culture. In the low season and in winter, however, there can be occasional rain showers.

From June to August, the average temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius. In summer, many beach holidaymakers travel to Lido di Jesolo, because at this time of year the Adriatic Sea, with a warm and pleasant water temperature of 22 to 24 degrees Celsius on average, invites you to swim and the fine sand invites you to linger on the beach.
