Neuwied Zoo is a fantastic excursion destination with around 1,300 animals from over 170 species. The cheetahs are exciting to watch as they hunt for food, which is stimulated by a prey simulator. The penguins and seals can be viewed under water, where they are in their element as they swim at lightning speed. The zoo's special features include the large herd of grey giant kangaroos and the great ape enclosure with its extensive outdoor enclosure.
