After visiting several times, Lisbon has become a second home for me. The music, the atmosphere, and the warmth of the people make this city very special. It's always a highlight to stroll through the small, winding neighborhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto and discover spectacular views over the rooftops and the Tagus River. Riding the old tram up the steep streets and taking a detour to Belém for the best pastéis de nata is also a must.
My tip: Wear good shoes, otherwise the city of seven hills will quickly wear you out. Reserve a table at the Ponto Final restaurant early for the evening. The food and the view of the Ponte 25 de Abril and the city are unique. Otherwise, it's always worth visiting the local restaurants in the city's narrow streets and enjoying the sunset from one of the miradouros.
