Beautifully located small campsite. Directly by the lake. Good starting point for cycling tours and hikes. Of the 2 sanitary buildings, one has been renovated. Both are clean. However, in May, when we were here, the reception was closed on weekends, and there was no cleaning of the sanitary facilities. Since the campsite was not yet full, it wasn’t too bad, but it was not pleasant for one’s own feeling. In summer, it will surely be different from what we are used to at First Camp. Still, a clear recommendation for this place.

Good location, great view We were there in mid-May, so it was the low season. All pitches have grass, but there are no trees/bushes for sun protection. Sanitary facilities are very clean. Overall, it could get tight in the showers/WC in the summer when fully booked. The location with sandy beach and swimming area at Vänern is very child-friendly. Now, out of season, highly recommended as it is quiet and just a short distance to Karlstad.
