Transit Camping Malmo

A transit camping spot by the sea, with showers that cost extra, probably to prevent beachgoers from showering for free. The sanitary facilities are decent. A tip: request a spot that is not too close to the road and, in strong winds, not too close to the sea. We had spot 144, which was great since we weren’t stuck between the trees. Choose a preferred spot; otherwise, you will be lined up on the busy road. Malmö is 13 km away, and at the station, there is a covered bike storage area that is free but not monitored. Overall, that's fine; you can also place your bikes at the top of the rack, making it more difficult for someone to take your bike. The area didn’t look unsafe, and within a few minutes, you are either in the city or in a beautiful park. There are bike paths that are well established, and while 13 km sounds far, it really felt like only 6 km. The shopping street in the city is not particularly spectacular.

We made a 2-day stop here on our way home. We (family with 2 children aged 10 and 12, 2 adults, and a dog) found the place fantastic. It's summer holiday traffic and the campsite is full, but the pitches are large enough, the entire site is clean, and the staff are very friendly. We stood on the side by the road, but we didn't hear anything from the street. There were a few airplanes visible during the day, but they didn’t disturb us. Access to the beach is right by the campsite and the beach is super beautiful. The kitchen was always very clean, and the showers and toilets were clean as well. Shower curtains are also not my thing, but they are quite common in Sweden. The fee for the shower is also quite low (less than 50 cents) and not unusual in Sweden.... We felt very comfortable!

Okay for a stopover in the low season.

The campsite leaves mixed feelings: The location is very good for getting to Lund or Malmö, and the campsite is definitely better than the alternative near the Öresund Bridge. For one to two overnight stays, it is definitely okay. The campsite itself is located on a country road. I would definitely recommend looking for a spot as far away from it as possible. If the wind is unfavorable, you can hear it everywhere on the site. The sanitary facilities are okay, but in my opinion, very undersized. Even in the low season, I sometimes had to wait for a toilet. This led to questionable hygienic conditions in the shower and WC. Washbasins for brushing teeth and doing dishes are definitely far too few for a fuller site. The spots by the sea are very nice, but there is also a lot of "passing traffic" on the beach path.

Ideal starting point for visiting the cities of Malmö and Lund

We were here in the preseason at this campsite. The goal was to visit the two cities, Malmö and Lund, from here. This campsite is an ideal starting point for that. Nice cycling paths lead to both cities. It is beautifully located on a sandy beach right on the Baltic Sea. The water is very shallow. Perhaps not suitable for swimming. The pitches are large and always level. The sanitary facilities are in very good condition. Refilling and emptying the motorhome is hassle-free.

The campsite is okay. The beach is only nice for small children. The water is very shallow up to about 300m. The campsite fee is way too expensive for the service provided. The mixed sanitary facilities for males and females, with 4 toilets and 8 showers each, are much too small for the size of the campsite. The toilets are still warm from the previous user, and after 3 days of showering, the water was always cold.

Nice campsite right by the sandy beach. You can walk 100m into the sea. Great starting point for the first overnight stays in Sweden after the drive over the Øresund Bridge.
