Karlstad Swecamp Bomstadbaden

After last year, we are here for the second time now. Great location with many options. Very nice staff and a small shop that compensates for the remote location. Good sanitary facilities, which should be partially renewed soon. Some parking spaces are a bit tricky to reach due to trees - depending on vehicle length - or to leave backwards. However, you park like "in the forest, right by the beach." In that respect, it's uniquely beautiful.

We were at the campsite at the beginning of August 2023 for two nights with a motorhome. We had reserved in advance and were warmly welcomed at the reception. The campsite is quite large, but it spreads out well. There are several buildings with sanitary facilities, which vary in modernity, but particularly, there are several modern family bathrooms and a children's bath with a small toilet, shower, and baby bathtub. Additionally, there are several kitchens, one of which has several tables and chairs for eating, as well as a lounge with a television. There are really many facilities on the site: several playgrounds, two trampolines (one right on the beach), a disco area, a football pitch, two tennis courts, a mountain bike track, a fitness course, and of course several swimming beaches, including one with a swimming island and slide. Right in front of the campsite, a bus runs every half hour directly to Karlstad in high season (about 30 minutes, stopping at a large shopping center, including IKEA, ICA, Coop). Unfortunately, we didn't have such good weather, but aside from that, the site is really top!

Great location, super amenities, very nice staff

This site really is a showcase for us: Large pitches, some directly by the beach, some on shady meadows. We were at No. 122, a bit away from the beach, but just right to be out of the beach hustle, and conveniently located next to the relatively new washhouse. Restaurant okay, we can recommend the pizza. The small shop had the essentials available. The shallow entry into the lake is perfect for small children. We would love to come back again.

Very large campsite, more of a holiday complex, something for everyone! Great for kids! Swimming beach, shallow water, playgrounds everywhere, mini-golf, football field, etc. Upon request, we were away from the hustle and bustle, which was great for us! Sanitary facilities clean, disposal for campervans very good! Water on site. Since the swimming beach is also accessible to the public, there were, of course, a lot of people now with great weather! We would come back!

The campsite is located in the woods and directly by the lake with a beach. The sanitary facilities are okay. Water and electricity are available directly at the pitch. Overall, I would recommend it.

Quiet large campsite by the lake near Karlstad. Sanitary facilities clean and sufficient. Electricity, sanitary facilities, etc. included in the price. Nice swimming area. Karlstad easily accessible by public transport. Recommended.
