A perfect "summer vacation" in mid-May! We were received warmly. There wasn't much going on in the off-season. We could choose our pitch. The small shop at the reception was not fully stocked yet, but there were drinks and delicious soft ice cream available. Rolls can be ordered for breakfast. The campsite is beautifully quiet, right by the lake, with a small bathing beach. The sanitary facilities and kitchen were always clean, and the entire site is maintained (it feels) around the clock. Possibly important: power connection with Schuko plug! Access to the sanitary facilities is via chip card. The campsite restaurant and the public buffet restaurant right by the second bathing beach are open for lunch. Public transport to Vxj is easily accessible on foot. We will be back!

The site is very well-maintained and well-equipped. No matter if you are traveling with a tent, camper van, or VW bus, you will find everything you need here. The supply huts have sufficient toilets and showers. There is even a well-equipped kitchen with places to eat. Our spot had a picnic table from which you could see the lake with a swimming area among the beautifully designed rental accommodations. The mini-golf course is great. Children can rent go-karts. There are also canoes available for rent. From the site, you can take a lovely walk through the forest to the castle ruins. There is a wonderful café where you can watch an old steamship dock and undock. You can easily spend a relaxed two or three days here.

We were at this campsite for three nights in mid-August 2022. We arrived without a reservation and then treated ourselves to a pitch with 16A in the field behind the sanitary building for 20 SEK more per day, which was the best decision. We had plenty of space, hardly any neighbors, a lot of peace, and a super beautiful grass surface. The whole site is very nicely designed: a lot of greenery (grass, bushes, trees), on hills there is a really cool mini-golf course set up, the kitchen is large, with stylish induction cooktops (suitable pots can be borrowed for free at the reception), dining areas, and a small play corner, there is a small playground, a small climbing course, and a football billiard (unfortunately not free). There are enough toilets and showers (which are not free), and there are also separated washing cabins. In the ladies' toilets, there is even a children's toilet. At the reception, you can order rolls for the next day, buy ice cream, and very few other groceries. Through a side exit, you reach a small bathing beach at Helgasjön (also with a nice playground), a little further there is a larger bathing area with a diving board, changing rooms, a toilet, beach kiosk. The water is clear but slightly reddish. You can also take trips to Växjö or to the castle, but we had such good weather that we only used the nearby lake and had water gun battles on the large lawn. We had a super beautiful stay there and can clearly recommend the site.

Well organized, clean, quiet, and friendly. Despite being fully booked and having many children, the atmosphere is calm.

We have been here a few times... always nice and we have had only positive experiences with the staff. Always friendly and helpful. The family rooms are outdated and should really be renovated... Nevertheless, we will stop by again.

Beautiful location, lake-close spots must be begged for. Staff at the reception very varied. Sanitary facilities new and clean. Unfortunately, sink only in the narrow toilet cabins. Nice lake walking/pathway nearby.

The Swecamp Evedal Vaxjö campsite offers its guests many advantages that will make your camping holiday unforgettable. Situated directly on Lake Helgasjön, you can enjoy a marvellous view over the glistening water.
If you are looking for variety and adventure, Swecamp Evedal Vaxjö is the right place for you. We particularly recommend the canoe and boat trips, which are available for both children and adults. You can book the barbecue package at the campsite for catering en route. This package includes everything you need for a barbecue. All you have to do now is stow it in the boat and then nothing stands in the way of a cosy break on one of the small islands. A map of the lake is available at reception so that you can plan a barbecue break into your tour. Football carjard courses offer a welcome change in bad weather. If you want to relax after all the activities, you can hire a relaxation room with sauna and whirlpool.
In addition to pitches for motorhomes and caravans, cottages can also be booked for overnight stays. Two restaurants and an ice cream parlour & café invite you to enjoy a cosy get-together. The centrally located service building is equipped with four spacious departments - one for women, one for men and two unisex areas. The unisex areas also contain the family rooms and the toilets for people with restricted mobility. There is also a laundry and service kitchen. There is also a cosy TV room and a play corner for the little ones.
