The reception is staffed by very friendly to unfriendly people. We had to leave three days early and had to pay for the entire stay. No discussion, the camping also has costs. We were on a separate motorhome pitch next to the camping, the entrance was unkempt and tight with caravans. The location, directly bordering an industrial area. The camping seems to have aged and is neglected. Electricity is charged separately, 16 euros for four nights of fridge and light. We cannot recommend this place and will not return.

Clean sanitary facilities with individual showers and underfloor heating, particularly noteworthy is the cheerful cleaner in the early morning..., shopping opportunities right across the street, there was nothing to complain about...

The CP is centrally located near the supermarkets and about a 10-minute walk from the train/bus station. Our site was very uneven and compacted with construction debris. How to set up and establish oneself is prescribed at the reception. The site is a bit dated. A new coat of paint would be good, the grass is slowly spreading along the path and the playground is overgrown. The sand has not been replaced here for quite some time. Play equipment is worn out. Electricity is separate. Shower and washing machine via value card. Showers and toilets are in order. They are cleaned every day. The site is suitable as a starting point for activities in and around SPO, but nothing more.

Good The shopping options nearby, the proximity to St. Peter Ording. Bad The front toilets are way too cramped...life-threatening! Doors open inwards; if someone collapses there, heavy equipment is needed. The permit must be checked. We doubt the accuracy of the electricity bill! The values have been charged without the possibility of verification. There was no information that the billing is carried out via an invisible metering unit. The pitches are below all standards (neglected mud holes). For the ladies, there are only three showers, and the rooms were cold. Behind our pitch was a mobile coop for 260 chickens...it often smelled pathetic. Advertising with 5 stars is ridiculous! PiNCAMP/ADAC classifies the site with 3.4 stars...and that is already inflated. We were on this terrible site from March 27 to April 1, 2024.

October 2023
We were at the site for a week with a caravan at the end of October. As always, there are positives and negatives; however, the self-advertised 5-star classification should be seen as euphemistic. Overall, we cannot recommend a stay at this site, at least at this time of year. Pros: - Central location, SPO village (and beach) easily accessible by foot or bicycle - Shopping opportunities in close proximity - Clean, spacious sanitary facilities (unfortunately without storage options in the shower area); sufficiently adequate in terms of quantity despite a low number at this time of year - Modern payment system, fair billing based on consumption (electricity, shower) - Quiet location (in October) Cons: - The construction of the ground on the sloped terrain (especially in the comfort pitches area) can only be described as amateurish and cheap: extremely poor drainage, partly fixed with the cheapest recycled materials, uneven terrain. The drainage is so bad that one can stand in water several centimeters deep for days (which is not due to laid tarps/plastics ...). It is not surprising to someone based in Schleswig-Holstein that it can rain (heavily) in October, but that a campground can be so poorly equipped for it? - Unfortunately, one cannot expect any changes to be made, as the ability to accept criticism in this regard is extremely low. The site manager (owner?) approaches one in a disrespectful tone and negates any problems. Despite adhering to the strict placement instructions marked on the plan by the reception, one is accused of incorrectly placing the caravan, and the problems are blamed on it. - The Wi-Fi reception is overall poor, as no reliable connection is established. - The reception is open for a few hours each morning and afternoon (until at least 6 PM). Unfortunately, outside of opening hours, contact is not possible, which means that a disconnected water line could only be responded to the next day. Moreover, two pitches in the comfort area share a water connection.

The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, although some toilet doors open inwards. No one should collapse here, because it's hard to get them out! A planning mistake! The parking spaces are very tight, a complete extension of the awning is not possible! Money is made from every square meter! However, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A very nice campsite in a central location. The entire area is accessible by foot or by bicycle. Right next to the campsite, there are discount stores for shopping. The staff are super friendly and the lots are sufficiently large and very well maintained. A motorhome with a length of 7.40m had enough space. The sanitary facilities are very clean and well-kept. We find that the 5 stars are justified. We will definitely come back!
