Visby Strandby - Norderstrand

The campsite consists of only two long rows for campers. However, the plots are large. It is located directly on the coast, separated by a street that does not disturb. Here you can see fantastic sunsets. The site is very well maintained and the sanitary facilities are top-notch and cleaned several times a day. The operator is very nice and checking in or out is also easy at the machine outside of opening hours.

This place is located right on a street that turns into a party scene during week 29! This also applies to the campsite, where the party atmosphere begins around 16:00. Almost all the cabins are occupied by young people who start partying in the afternoon and come back loudly into the early morning hours. Guests were not warned that this happens for an entire week (week 29 every year)! The campsite management reacted late to the nighttime conditions. There was no intervention during the day; according to management, everything is normal! Unfortunately, we spent 8 days at this site and had to endure 5 days of this ruckus. During this time, the sanitary areas resembled a pigsty, which caused absolute disgust at times. So "beware" of this place in week 29. Otherwise, one should not use it for exploring Visby for more than 3 days!

We were at the campsite in mid-July 2022. It is located directly on a street, which is not very busy, right across from the Baltic Sea! Unfortunately, we were here during the week when Swedish teenagers celebrate here. Very loud during the day but also at night. The sanitation facilities are usually very clean and the campsite management ensures that everything stays within limits. Location to the city is great, not even 1000 meters!

Good location to the city center of Visby, about 1km. The place is clean and quiet with a view of the Baltic Sea. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean. We registered via a machine, as it is already the off-season at this time. There is also a menu in German and it was straightforward. Prices: 3 people with a motorhome per night 220,-kr, including electricity (16 A). Showers cost 4,- kr per minute. Highly recommended for visitors to Visby.
