Camping Fristad

Camping Fristad is a wonderfully small and charming campsite in the countryside. Across a total area of 3 hectares, we have only 35 pitches for holidaymakers and 4 cosy rental accommodations. The pitches are idyllically located on a meadow directly by the lake, surrounded by shady trees.

The lake is the absolute highlight! You have direct access to the water and a great bathing opportunity at the lake with a cosy wooden pier. Perfect for jumping into the cool water, going for a paddle in a canoe or simply enjoying the sunset. In the evening, you can end the day wonderfully by the campfire.

Absolutely! The campsite in the countryside is particularly child-friendly and offers many activities for children under 12 years. There is a lovely children's playground and the site is easy to manage. A real highlight for the little ones are the free-roaming chickens, which give the site a wonderfully cosy atmosphere.

Prices depend on the season and your chosen type of accommodation. You should plan for the following cost factors:

• Pitch fee for your tent, motorhome or car with caravan
• Electricity connection (10-amp sockets provided)
• Dog fee, as four-legged friends are very welcome here
• Rental accommodations (4 cosy cabins without private sanitary facilities)
• Payment methods: On site, you can easily pay with Maestro, Mastercard or Visa.

The journey is super relaxed! Camping Fristad is a campsite close to the highway and is therefore excellently connected to the road network. Access with a car with caravan is also easily possible. You will receive a warm welcome at reception – the team speaks fluent German, English and Dutch.

For your breakfast, there is a practical bread roll service directly on the campsite, so you can enjoy fresh rolls every morning. For larger shopping trips, simply drive to nearby Torsby (approx. 5 km away), where you will find a well-stocked supermarket.

Yes, dogs are very welcome! Your four-legged friend is happy to accompany you on your camping holiday. The wooded surroundings around the lake are perfect for long walks in the countryside. Please make sure to keep your dog on a leash on the campsite.
