Need for Improvement

June 2023

Overall a beautiful place and particularly the areas of the mobile homes are beautifully landscaped with many small theme pools. The large pool area for everyone is also very nice, but the water is quite murky and dirty. There were some shortcomings at this site. Firstly, there are almost only Dutch people at this site, which normally would not be a problem, but here they behaved very poorly. Parties until late at night, parking their cars daily in such a way that it was impossible to enter or exit our pitch of category A. No one at the reception is interested in complaints in this regard. Very narrow beach and very unfriendly staff in the restaurants. The supermarket is very good and the prices are reasonable. In the showers, you had to wait a long time every evening, no matter what time it was. You can spend a nice vacation here, but there is clearly room for improvement.

5 Star Campsite with Weaknesses

Very good8

July 2023

First of all, I would like to mention my positive impressions ... the pool landscape is impressive, the beach is top-notch, the pitches are all large and, with a few exceptions, really top, the supermarket is large and reasonably priced, booking and checking in online was easy ... unfortunately, I expect more for these prices!!! The sanitary facilities were quite modern, but also quite dirty (and unfortunately that's also a euphemism) ... even though the dirt is caused by the guests, I expect a higher cleaning frequency for these pitch prices. The internet costs extra. That is fine in itself, but I expect at least the possibility to stream movies. The gastronomy, in my opinion, does not manage to surpass fast-food dining (the really excellent butcher in the supermarket helps to alleviate it). My conclusion ... for the prices you usually get more cleanliness (and not just concerning the sanitary area) ... the internet is not sufficiently powerful for the price ... those who come for large pool landscapes and a lot of entertainment will certainly get their money's worth. Personally, I would rather not recommend the gastronomy. Due to the price (which I expected more from), I find it hard to give 4 stars.

Pros and cons at the large campsite

July 2023

Wonderful water park, great restaurants, pitch A very large pitches with beautiful palm trees, affordable and large supermarket where you can get everything, great shows, beautiful clear sea, stunning surroundings with lovely small towns and bays. The site is made up of 90% Dutch, many of whom are there to party and don’t always behave well. Noisy site, beach directly at the site is too narrow, too few sanitary facilities. We enjoyed it, but due to some issues, we wouldn’t come here a second time.

Disappointed

May 2022

We were traveling with the camper and wanted to book a pitch at the reception - this is not possible - I was sent out, told to book with my phone and then come back in. Pitches are located right at the entrance, we ended up parking one street away from the sanitary facilities. Here already begins the biggest problem of the site: the "glampers" have to drive all the way around the pitches to get to the cabins. The distance is long and the site mandates a speed limit of 10 km/h - which no one cares about! They speed up to the paving and immediately after that accelerate strongly, or drive through unoccupied pitches to avoid braking. Children cannot walk to the sanitary facilities alone, you have to be afraid they will get run over. The pool area brings a big smile to every child's face. There is everything the heart desires. Unfortunately, the water is also very cold (in June). The sanitary facilities are very clean, the cleaning staff puts in a lot of effort.

Disappointing

July 2021

We were there for a week in the high season (August 2021) and the campsite was full to the last pitch with every bed occupied-95% by Dutch people. What annoyed us was that it was loud until midnight on the pitches due to the evening program and afterwards the exodus noise from the people was extremely disturbing. Despite a proud price of over €100/night, the pitches had no water and sewage. The beach has many small stones and is very narrow (20 m) and in high season too crowded, but the first 20 m are very shallow and good for children. The pool area is the highlight of the campsite with many different pools and depths and dozens of slides, however, in the high season many guests reserve multiple sunbeds with a towel early in the morning and then go off somewhere else. Large supermarket that leaves no wishes unfulfilled, prices are perfectly okay, but the surcharge for chilled drinks was noticeable. WiFi is not included, but expensive. Hot food is only available from 7 p.m. in the restaurant and the snack bars open irregularly when they want and not as stated in the camping app => unworthy of a family campsite. At the reception, only bad English is spoken. Sanitary facilities are old and in poor condition. The 10 km/h speed limit is not adhered to, so small children with balance bikes are often endangered and especially the Dutch drive constantly faster and recklessly. When washing dishes, there is rarely warm/hot water. The children's area in the sanitary building is too small and poorly thought out, as it is outside and thus the children are nonstop in the draught when taking a shower and the bathtubs have no plug... Additionally, the showers and bathtubs in the children's area of the sanitary buildings are used by the cleaning ladies to dump dirty water, so it is an imposition to clean your children there! Laundry is near a cool playground and costs: washing machine 6€ and dryer 4€. Outside the theater and pool area there is a lot of litter and the camping staff no longer pays attention to cleanliness. The playgrounds are sometimes extremely dangerous and not well maintained, as sometimes there is concrete at the end of the slides - for whatever reason - and therefore children can seriously injure themselves! Overall, a very disappointing campsite, which is way too expensive for its services!

Beautiful Campsite

July 2021

Beautiful campsite with a lot of entertainment and sports programs. Mini golf, Zumba, water aerobics, yoga pilates, trampoline, tennis, soccer, table tennis, Spanish padel, volleyball... everything the heart desires. Very nice and large pool area with 5 pools for children. The sanitary facilities were cleaned once or twice in the off-season. It was okay, sometimes a third cleaning would have been good too. Mainly Dutch, French, and Spanish guests, few Germans. You can't get very far with German. English is more commonly spoken. From August 23, you can arrive with a dog, it was not allowed before. We were there from August 23 to September 10. From September on, the place became noticeably emptier and in the last week, a few retirees came by. The beach is great! The guys and girls from the jet ski rental are very helpful and super nice! There are shopping opportunities at the campsite. Supermarket, bakery, souvenirs. Pizza, burgers, ice cream, and other restaurants are available around the huge "Amphitheater" where the daily changing entertainment programs and shows take place. For larger purchases, supermarkets in the nearby (about 8 km) Torroella de Montgri are recommended, such as Lidl. They have a great and very inexpensive fish or seafood offer. In any case, I can recommend the campsite with a clear conscience. We really enjoyed our time there.

May 2019

We were at El Delfin Verde for almost 4 weeks in the pre-season. It promises a lot but doesn't deliver. And when you ask, they say you're there in the pre-season, so you pay less. What was totally unacceptable was that the electricity kept going out, even up to 7 times on peak days. Once it was out the whole night, which is, of course, very bad for food and medicine. Cold shower water or sometimes no water at all, that was all part of it. And if you wanted to complain, you had to be lucky that someone was there who understood you. Not everyone spoke English. And no one was really interested in it. You received an email where you were supposed to complain. And what is unacceptable for such a large campsite is the laundromat. If you were lucky, 4 washing machines and 2 dryers worked. 4 other washing machines were broken and weren't repaired during the 4 weeks. The absence of any German animation was good, but our daughter was very sad. She didn't feel comfortable; only Dutch or Spanish was spoken. Many things were still closed on the campsite: beach bar, restaurants, etc. You look at the website, are happy, and then find out on vacation that half of it is not true. Really a pity.

Great Campsite! Family Friendly 😊

Superb10

June 2019

This campsite is highly recommended for families. The pool area (4 pools!! And soon there will be a large slide area) is very suitable for children, who can pretty much stand everywhere. Each pool has several slides, and there is something to discover everywhere! The pool area is designed as a pirate landscape! Unfortunately, we noticed that the water is very dirty! The filtration system probably can't cope with the number of people.... In the evenings, there is good entertainment offered alternately for every taste. They really put in effort there. The supermarket is very well stocked at non-inflated prices. The beach is very good and quickly accessible. However, there are too few garbage bins! Generally, throughout the entire campsite, more garbage bins could be placed here and there. The pitches are sufficiently large (also for double-axle vehicles!) and can be easily accessed! The bungalows all have small pools. It is a large campsite with many people during peak season. Everyone should be aware of that! Dogs are only allowed in the pre-season.
