After 4 years we were back for the 3rd time in this place. Reservations in advance do not always work, the shop only opens at 9 in the morning, but otherwise we are very satisfied. We quickly received our desired spot. The new sanitary building is very well equipped and clean. We were pleased that the price includes electricity, hot water, washing machine, dryer, and kitchen with dishwasher, oven, and microwave. The adjacent Vänern lake is clear, there is a private docking area, a lot of nature, directly by the lake a relatively new playground and a bouncy castle. There is a small mini-golf course, during peak season sports activities are offered. In the forest, there are marked hiking trails. A bike path runs parallel to the road to the nearest village. Since the campsite is at the end of the road, it is actually always quiet. In the forest, you can find blueberries and porcini mushrooms at the right time of year, in the lake - with a fishing permit - catch zander, perch, and pike. The small lighthouse restaurant is nice and easily accessible on foot. The campsite is absolutely clean and tidy. The pitches are large and mostly without shade. There are a few permanent campers and cabins available for rent. The nearest village is about 5 km away, which is Säffle. Here you can find everything you need for living. The staff is unobtrusive, but always present and keeps the site in good condition. We will definitely come back.
