Good place, a bit cramped, great location

We found the location good. Both by bike and car, it is easy to reach other places. In general, the site is in good condition and appears to be organized with charging cards. The operators try to do a lot for the camper even with special questions.

Good campsite with some disadvantages.

The site is very beautiful, laid out in terraces, directly on Lake Constance. The name "Alpenblick" is appropriate, as in good visibility conditions it offers a very nice panorama. The site is in good condition, the sanitary facilities are relatively new, adequate, and very clean. However, the campsite is divided by a public bike path, where – depending on the weather and season – there is very heavy traffic from cyclists and pedestrians. Driving with a car or motorhome is therefore made very difficult, and dangerous situations can sometimes arise. The federal road above the site is also heavily frequented, causing significant noise pollution both day and night.

The location is great. The campsite borders the lake. The village of Hagnau is reachable in a few minutes. That was the only positive for us. The bike path that runs through the campsite is dangerous. Cyclists speed through the campsite at high speed throughout the day. Children cannot move freely here, and even as an adult, you have to be careful when you dare to cross the bike path (which is necessary if you want to go from the upper part to the lake). The sanitary facilities are quite new and clean, but there is not enough privacy. There are no individual washing booths, and the available sinks are not separated by partitions. Everything is very open, which some may like; personally, I found it uncomfortable when I walked from the women's area to the exit and saw the men at the urinals.

Beautiful campsite

Very good8

May 2023

Very friendly welcome, the young man initially showed my husband to the spot, so no one had to find it themselves. We had chosen and reserved pitch 07 ourselves months ago. This one is a bit more expensive and a bit tight for larger vehicles. We have a VW Crafter and it was very warm, so we only needed the awning. With a tent, it would be a bit cramped, either tent or awning. View directly over Lake Constance, as the pitches are terraced and below us are only permanent campers. Sanitary house very clean, and the snack bar is also great. When checking in, you also get the Lake Constance Card, which allows you to use the bus for free. We had our bikes with us, which made it a bit quicker. Departing by 11:00 a.m. seems a bit early to us; it’s always so stressful. You can only check in from 2:00 p.m. Having breakfast and then breaking down and packing everything up is quite sporty. You want to quickly take a shower, but there isn't enough time for that. However, this is the case at almost all campsites. Negatives: Cold showers are not possible without money being deducted from the loaded card. You have a chip card, which only allows you into the sanitary house. Of course, this doesn’t have to be open for everyone (bike path in the middle of the campsite), but there are other possibilities, e.g., a code on the doors. So, whoever comes should bring a cover to hang around your neck for the card. The card is also required for showering. The Lake Constance bike path runs directly through the middle of the campsite. You have to be quite careful to avoid a collision with cyclists. We really enjoyed it and will come back someday.

Great Campsite

March 2023

We were at the campsite during Holy Week. It is located directly by the lake, and you can quickly get to Hagnau, Immenstaad, and also Meersburg. The sanitary building was always clean. We enjoy going back there again and again. The staff at the site and kiosk/restaurant were very friendly and accommodating.

Very noisy like at a highway rest area due to the heavily trafficked country road also at night

June 2022

Much too loud continuous noise from the street, in the morning also continuous noise from spraying activities with agricultural machines in the vineyards directly adjacent to the site, too small plots, very good sanitary facilities, nice view of the lake, beach bath and dog beaches in the immediate vicinity. Great gastronomy with really nice people and bread roll service, but very unfriendly and grumpy gentleman at the reception.

I cannot recommend it They asked for 100 € as a deposit right away, otherwise I would have left immediately. Toilet without a toilet seat? I have never experienced that before.

More infos about Campingplatz Alpenblick

Families with children particularly appreciate the fantastic location directly on Lake Constance and the family atmosphere at the Alpenblick campsite. Dog owners are also welcome on the well-kept site with its friendly staff.

Ideal starting point for excursions

The centre of the picturesque wine village of Hagnau is just a 5-minute walk from the Alpenblick campsite. The campsite is located between Meersburg and Friedrichshafen directly on Lake Constance on a 2.5-hectare meadow area. The 70 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are just a few steps away from the publicly accessible natural beach with a large sunbathing lawn. Numerous trees provide shade while you relax on the shore. There is also a varied playground with slides, swings and sensational water fountains.

It is also worth taking a walk from the Alpenblick campsite to nearby Hagnau with its delightful riverside park. Here guests can stroll along flower-lined paths and visit the "Baumtorkel", a historic wine press. A 4 km circular walk leads from the town centre through the idyllic vineyards to the Wilhelmshöhe. This is one of the most beautiful vantage points on the whole of Lake Constance.

The Affenberg Salem, 15 kilometres from the Alpenblick campsite, is a great destination for families. 200 adorable Barbary apes live on the 20-hectare site. Boats depart from nearby Friedrichshafen for scenic round trips on Lake Constance. The contrast between the huge expanse of water and the mountain peaks of the Pfänder or the 2,500 metre-high Säntis on Swiss soil is breathtaking. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the "flower island of Mainau" with millions of tulips, fragrant roses and colourful dahlias.

Well-kept campsite with a feel-good factor

Guests at the Alpenblick campsite particularly appreciate the spacious pitches. The numerous hedges and trees between the pitches, which provide privacy, are also a positive feature. There is also a lot of praise for the friendly groundsman, who is on hand to help throughout your stay and ensures a relaxed atmosphere.

The cosy restaurant with its inviting terrace and conservatory also creates the perfect holiday atmosphere. All fine regional and international dishes are also available to take away on request. In addition to excellent cuisine, the restaurant offers fresh bread rolls, cold beer and delicious Lake Constance wines every day.

A particularly romantic atmosphere is created in the evening when the low sun bathes the breathtaking Allgäu mountains and the lake in front of them in soft red tones. In the morning, guests can pick up fresh bread rolls from reception to the sound of birdsong.
