Burgsviks Camping

We were in June 25 for 14 days at camping Burgsvik. The operators, a Swiss couple, are very nice and helpful. The site is very well maintained and is excellent for exploring the south and the center of Gotland. Perfect also for cyclists, as the Gotlandsleden (bicycle path) starts right by the campsite. A bike ride around the southern part of Gotland (about 50 km) is highly recommended. A free map is handed out at check-in. The campsite is highly recommended.

Friendly reception! Convenient location and nicely designed. Clean sanitary facilities and kitchen. Washing machine and dryer available. Beautiful camping meadow also with seating and trees. Seating area for campers outside and in a large, nicely designed tent. I felt comfortable here and will gladly come back.

We were received very kindly and the owner couple was always helpful and provided us with tips for our stay. The sanitary facilities were clean and well-maintained. Laundry facilities available. The campsite has everything needed to explore the middle and south of Gotland.

We spent almost a week with our children and grandchildren at the campsite, we with the caravan, the children with the tent. Already the telephone reservation from Flensburg went perfectly. The Swiss couple, who took over the campsite six months ago, spoke German and were extremely accommodating. So we got generous, beautiful spots, so that the caravan and tent could stand together. The facilities were well-maintained. Some things are still in progress, for example, the possibility for laundry washing, but Rome wasn't built in a day either. The pool was a hit for the children. There are good shopping opportunities about 2 km away. For cycling tours in the beautifully scenic surroundings, the campsite is ideally located. If we come back to Gotland, Burgsviks Camping will be our first choice.

Actually a well-designed campsite and parking site at the edge of town, in immediate proximity to the harbor, but the noise level at the site is less pleasant due to the pool, restaurant/outdoor terrace with music and partial entertainment. Those looking for peace will not really find it here, based on our experience. Nevertheless, the facilities (kitchen/washing area) and cleanliness are positive. It's a shame that an optimal rating is not possible.
