About
Between the sound of the waves, the beach and the dunes, Ahoi Camp Fehmarn invites you to enjoy an island holiday close to nature in the east of Schleswig-Holstein. The family-friendly campsite with a grassy meadow and gravelled area for motorhomes is located in a wide curved bay in Altenteil, one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots on the German Baltic coast. As well as ideal wind conditions, there are also beach showers and a rigging area right next to the campsite. Outdoor fitness, slacklines and ball sports such as beach volleyball and basketball are also on offer. A large adventure playground awaits children. A modern maritime café-bar and a fireplace invite you to socialise. Away from the campsite, the sun-kissed island of Fehmarn offers a variety of cycling and hiking trails and sights such as the Flügge lighthouse and the Burgstaaken submarine museum.
Situated between the sea and an inland lake with a connecting dike, this place is great for swimming, surfing, and relaxing.

The access road is adventurously romantic - you have to appreciate it, as it complements the surrounding ambiance and has a certain charm. The location of the campsite is unique, with quick access to the beach. However, the facilities for children were not overly suitable for ours (7 and 11 years old). The size of the pitches is great - plenty of space. Unfortunately, we were not convinced by the cleanliness: perhaps cleaning the restrooms twice during peak occupancy is simply not enough. However, the operator can’t really be blamed for campers not taking a bit of responsibility to leave toilets, showers, and especially sinks clean. We did not mind that not all washrooms are 'new.' In the shop, there are organic products from Bavaria - we don’t quite understand how ecologically sensible it is to transport all this across Germany.

Hello, The location is good. However, if you come here more often, you quickly realize that they want to make quick money with little effort. In the beginning, money was put into the hand and a washhouse was completely renovated. For the other two houses, only the essentials were taken care of. The spots have become noticeably smaller, leaving only 10 spots for, for example, caravans with a total length of 7.5 meters. Fire safety is important, but you should still be able to put up a porch tent. In the row by the water, placing with 7.5m is not possible. It will be interesting if it rains for 8 hours. The places at the inner lake are then, despite available wood chips, underwater. In washhouse three, mold can be found in the showers on the partition walls. I can't shake the impression that the money earned here is being put into the site in Prerow. The prices are clearly too high for what you get. WHAT A SHAME!

We parked our caravan in the third row from the beach. The ground is very pebbly and stony. However, this is not the case in all spots. Of course this place is aimed at water sports enthusiasts, but this is not a problem and has in no way affected our holiday enjoyment. We are not water sports enthusiasts. Dogs are very welcome, and the staff are super nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are impeccably clean and obviously recently modernized.

The place was great and clean .. We stayed a total of 5 nights with a 6.5 meter caravan there. Pitch in the first row. Due to the size of the pitch, you should choose it carefully as the space can be quite small. What I liked was, among other things, the waste separation system. What I did not like was that the hand dryer was defective the entire time; here they could have at least provided paper towels as an alternative. The contactless barrier system worked great for us. I found it a shame that the kitchen is not open 5 days and that you have to find alternatives if needed. Power and fresh water supply were directly at our pitch.

Our vacation at Ahoi Camp was really nice! Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate completely, but we made the best of it. The site is ideally located right by the Baltic Sea with a stunning view of the ocean. The team was super friendly and the sanitary facilities were well maintained. No shower tokens, and electricity + water are even included in the price. Overall, everything here is very uncomplicated. We have already booked again for September!

The location is not everything

I found the place through Instagram and was really looking forward to the vacation. We had a spot far back in the front row. It is of course incredibly nice to be able to look out at the sea all day. Unfortunately, that was almost all it had to offer. Overall, I felt the place was rather neglected and unloved. The gravel paths were partly difficult to ride on with a bike and also dangerous. The washroom was always very clean but unfortunately also seemed rather unloved and rundown. There are shopping possibilities at the site (all with an ecological background), but I found the opening hours to be a joke. Dogs are welcome there, and since we were there at the end of the season, it was also very quiet on the site, which was just great for relaxing. In conclusion, I have to say that I do not think the costs for the site are worth it for a second visit. It's a pity because the place has potential!
