Waldbad Isny

Positive: The location in the middle of the forest is beautiful. Negative: The sanitary facilities are far too small for the size of the campsite, e.g., 4 showers for women for 100 pitches. They were not cleaned regularly. The trash bins and the disposal station right next to the pitches obviously smell.

I can't really follow the ADAC's rating this time... The W-LAN costs extra in 2026 and isn't even reliable. The showers are clean, but the showerheads are of poor quality, with low pressure and a very short timer. The price does not match the offer.

We visited this campsite at the end of July 2026. The site is located in the woods and is very tranquil. We had a premium pitch with water and wastewater facilities. It was perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. We really enjoyed our stay. However, there is no internet reception, which is also highlighted on the homepage. Overall, it's acceptable, but unfortunately, rolls can only be ordered online, which means you have to purchase Wi-Fi as well. Not exactly ideal. Additionally, having only 2 showers per gender is quite limited, and in the evenings around 9 PM, there is no hot water available for the men's showers. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend this campsite without hesitation.

We as a young family had a perfect time at the Waldbad. The place is located in the woods and has a manageable size, which makes everything very personal and the team takes great care of the guests. Since we had such positive experiences in the summer, we will be coming back to the Waldbad between the years. As winter sports enthusiasts, this is the perfect starting point for us, as the cross-country ski trail is also not far away.

The campsite is quite peaceful, located a bit away from Isny. There is a private "lake" for bathing. The area is distributed over 3 levels, and as far as can be seen, all pitches are covered with turf grids (concrete or plastic). The standard pitch size is just sufficient for caravans and cars. In the height of summer, the campsite is ideally situated between trees, so it doesn't get too hot. There is also a small well-kept playground that our kids enjoyed. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained. Mobile reception is rather poor to non-existent in some areas. Wi-Fi has to be booked at an additional cost, but it runs smoothly throughout the entire area.

1 night was possible although ADAC states from 5 nights. Very friendly, idyllic in the forest. The restaurant has a new owner, it’s not running perfectly yet but I am sure it will. Not for luxury campers but honest and clean. You can find pictures on Facebook at Unterfranken Camper.

Stayed in the camping barrel, unfortunately it's in the shade a bit, in great heat definitely ideal, in September the sun isn't as high anymore so it becomes too shady. In the camping barrel, there's a very effective heater. All in all, it was still very nice!!
