The campsite belongs to the resort of the leisure baths. The parking fee includes entrance to the Tropical Island for the entire day of departure. Unfortunately, the staff seem to be less motivated. This starts with the ride on the free shuttle bus to the TI, where the driver doesn't even announce the stops and then snaps at guests when they want to get off at the wrong stop, and it seamlessly continues with the service personnel at the not-so-cheap Palm Beach restaurant.

It was interesting to visit Tropical Islands. The campsite is nicely designed. Unfortunately, the hygiene of some visitors left much to be desired. We preferred to wash in our caravan. The sinks were quite dirty. Cleaning was also very poor and rare. The pitch is small, but since we were at Tropical Islands during the day, this didn’t really bother us. For camping, however, the space would not have been enough for us. At Tropical Islands, we felt like we were on "vacation" with towel battles. Every lounger was occupied with towels. If you didn't arrive early in the morning, you might not even get a lounger at all. Actually, it is not allowed to bring food and drinks. However, very few adhered to this rule. Coffee pots/teapots and Tupperware were unpacked. Furthermore, photography is prohibited, but not everyone followed that either. It was quite uncomfortable when you realize that you are being "captured" in photos and videos either underwater or above water.

Those who want to arrive with their own caravan will find it hard to avoid the resort's campsite. The staff at the reception seemed to have had a tough time throughout our entire stay, and the pitch itself was rather a necessary evil. Untidy, predominantly sandy pitches that were anything but inviting and seemed unwelcoming to the camper. Moreover, these were hard to reach for slightly larger caravans, so we had to maneuver the last meters through the sand with the mover. Upon departure, there was no interest in our satisfaction with the stay, leading us to leave with a cool "Goodbye" on our way home. The Tropical Island itself was quite impressive for a short stay. However, cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff were nowhere near what paying vacationers should expect - not to mention the small critters in the sand. In a theoretical repeat case, one should definitely consider the local parking lot as a more pleasant overnight option.

We were at the festival this year in the square. The sanitary facilities were clean, as were the washing facilities. However, there were no water columns in operation; given such a large washhouse, a water source within the washhouse would surely be possible, or at least prior information would help. In the summer or with full occupancy, I can't imagine that the sanitary facilities would be sufficient, but that's speculation. What is very positive is the camping shop, well-stocked, good opening hours, very friendly staff. Also very positive is the available shuttle service to the tropical Dome. What I find negative is that one cannot drive a caravan directly to the entrance of the Tropical Island (for check-in), but must instead park in the lot beforehand (we had to check in at the Dome, normally at the campsite), which is not very pleasant with three children. Furthermore, on the last day, after check-out, one must park in that same lot. Alternatively, one would need to buy two tickets for €5 each to avoid walking too far, but it wasn't worth it for us. All in all, we will come back, for the kids' sake...

Average place. Overall, the campground is somewhat run-down, but the surroundings are quite nice. The outdoor areas and pitches were not very well cared for. There was some trash flying around our spot. The fresh water columns were also not all operational. The sanitary facilities are partially defective as well. It's not enough to hang up notices everywhere that cleanliness is valued. The facilities also need to be cleaned regularly.

Instead of camping site, it should be called parking space, arrival was still after 10 PM Finding peace at night is also in vain until 2:30 AM, hardly possible to sleep, and at 6 AM the area wakes up again. Waste water disposal is only very limited possible, fresh water is currently not available but is not mentioned during check-in. The grounds are very waterlogged. The reception at the campsite is not staffed, registration takes place inside the swimming paradise, unfortunately with hours of waiting time and no parking options, one has to endure long walks.

We are now at Tropical Island for the fifth time, twice of which we were on the "camping site" with a caravan; the last time was before Corona. Unfortunately, the reception is no longer directly in front of the campsite, but rather near the roundabout about 700m on foot from our assigned spot. However, this reception is currently unstaffed, so one has to check in within Tropical Island, which results in having to stand in the same queue as all the other overnight guests (we waited 4 hours in wind and rain. This entire process cost us more than half a day, although we paid full price. (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM when we finally got into the water) The campsite itself is extremely muddy. We also had no water at the campsite; it was turned off due to winter. When we asked if it could be turned back on with the warm temperatures of 15 degrees and at night still about 10 degrees, this was denied; we were told to get water in the wash room, either from the showers or the sinks. <--- Thanks a lot for that. No help or offers from the operator were given as we only had a 10l container with us and our spot is over 200m from the wash house. Our car unfortunately did not fit in our allotment as it is pretty full here; we were directed to park the car outside by the reception as a guest one has to make concessions everywhere. But the full price is still charged. Parking in front of Tropical Island has also become subject to fees, regardless of whether you are a day guest or an overnight guest, €5, and if you have to go back to the mobile home after breakfast or go in and out again, another €5 is demanded... that is outrageous as there was always space even in peak season; we were only told that if we wanted a free spot we had to park behind the Tropical, which I eventually did, but it is easier to walk 1,000m... (one also had to park with the camper to check in) Also, the lockers in the changing rooms cost a few euros per day. Those who book a buffet must accept long waiting lines. The 2G rule was neither asked nor controlled at check-in or during the rest of the stay; everywhere inside people walk around without masks, and there is often dense crowding. However, you cannot get drinks without a mask; you have to first go to the locker and get it since you can't take it into the water, it is supposed to be only 50% occupancy but I see no difference from the years before Corona; it is very crowded. We will probably not be coming back.
