Tjaldsvæði Grundarfjarðar

The campsite is located in the charming town of Grundarfirði in western Iceland, right on the street Borgarbraut 19. You will be camping very close to Icelandic nature and can easily reach the cosy town centre of Grundarfirði after a short walk.

The location in Grundarfirði makes the campsite the perfect starting point for exploring the famous Snæfellsnes peninsula. Here, you are surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Icelandic fjords and have untouched nature right outside your tent door.

As we do not have detailed reports, we expect a typical Icelandic nature camping experience on a simple meadow. It is best to bring sturdy pegs for the Icelandic soil to secure your tent or awning optimally.

Since the campsite is currently not bookable via PiNCAMP, we do not have up-to-date prices. It is best to find out about the rates directly on site:

The best way to reach the site in western Iceland is via the roads of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. For your navigation system, it is best to use the coordinates 64.92054 (latitude) and -23.25792 (longitude) to find the address Borgarbraut 19 directly.

Since the town centre of Grundarfirði is right next door, you are not far from local shops and small restaurants. This means you can easily stock up on groceries on site and enjoy Icelandic cuisine.
