Sandbank Titisee

Promise: view of the lake from everywhere - maybe not even half of the sites actually have this. Their website is a scam, featuring retouched photos and empty promises. A poorly maintained terraced campsite, with narrow paths mostly covered in coarse gravel, making it dreadful to reach your site. Zero information from the reception, here’s your site number, figure it out. From 12 to 1 PM the barrier and reception are closed: if you need to see a doctor urgently, too bad... Water point, better put on your hiking shoes, it’s going to be a marathon. One chemical toilet for this large, difficult-to-access campsite. Big caravan, you might as well leave your car outside the gate, the spots are that small. At our spot, I could only extend the awning 2 meters, or else I’d fall off the slope. For the price per night, you’d really expect more. A small plus point, a nice sanitary building, fairly clean. However, there’s only one building.

A very nice location. Well laid out and clean. The reception was very friendly. The sanitary facilities were clean and adequate. There were great viewpoints on the site with benches, etc. The only downside for us was that the site was very tightly packed. At times, campers with longer stays couldn’t set up their awnings or there was little space to maneuver. However, everything worked out fine. You can rent a vehicle for shopping.

Beautiful location right by the Titisee with private access to the lake. Sanitary facilities were very clean, and the number was sufficient. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that the grass on the site wasn't mowed, so we couldn't fully utilize the area. Otherwise, everything was very good, and the reception was also very friendly.

Very nice reception staff, vehicle provided free for 90 minutes. This way, you can quickly go get what you forgot.

Apparently, the gastronomy at the square is no longer necessary: the kiosk is only open from 08:00 - 10:00 and the café takes a break from 14:30 - 16:00 (!) - probably closed due to wealth! Hopefully, the operators will remember even in tough times that their income is financed by the customers.

There are caravans on the site like chickens in a battery farm. There is a sanitation facility and a washing area for about 200 campers. Clean but extremely crowded during peak times. There is no shade. A torture in midsummer. The federal road runs right behind the site and makes truck noise on weekdays from 5:00 a.m. You have to like it ...

Great location, excellent view of the lake

We come several times a year from Freiburg to the camping site. The place is as always clean and well-kept, unfortunately the gastronomy is this year under new management. This is noticeable in the quality of the food. Everything from a can and prepared without love. Unfortunately, no longer recommended. A large bottle of mineral water at the kiosk 6 €
