Beautiful spot in the beautiful Maltatal. Top-notch washhouse, friendly staff, delicious restaurant on site. Pool/swimming pool directly at the site. We've been there three times this year already, but this time only in transit, always as a stopover. We would gladly come back. 2 points deducted for the pricing policy. The spots down by the street are directly on the street category 3 - the ones directly opposite and 5m away from the street are category 1 and hence the most expensive. We were assigned category 1 for 1 stopover night. Had I known that beforehand, the category 3 would have been fine with me as well; you can't hear the street at night - nothing happening.

We were just passing through. Great outdoor pool, awesome playground, small petting zoo, bulldog ride for the kids, and pony riding included. It was very nice and next time we’ll gladly plan for more than one night.

good location (near Tauernautobahn, hiking, dam, waterfalls); as a stopover from/to IT/SLO/HR quite good; for much longer than a few days, the campsite itself and also the surrounding area seem to us to offer too little - one always has to drive further distances by car to reach excursion destinations (cities, cable cars, etc. > usually at least 30 min away); playground okay, somewhat outdated (e.g., please repair broken go-karts, a large hole in the asphalt of the 'go-kart track' should urgently be closed); table tennis tables available; swimming pool included (non-swimmer pool + small baby pool with two levels - connected by a small slide) - a bit cold, offering too little for a swimming day; 'petting zoo' (goats and rabbits) in very small enclosures, pony riding possible on two days/week, super trip with the tractor

We were spontaneously 3 nights on the way back from Croatia here and felt very comfortable right away. Great sanitary facilities, a small paradise for children with petting zoo, tractor rides, pony riding. The swimming pool is large enough and well maintained. The pitches are large enough, and there's great pizza at the on-site restaurant. Check-in and pitch selection was straightforward. What more could a camper's heart want...

Very nice campsite. The size of the parking space for caravans and cars is sufficient. Sanitary and shower area very clean. Friendly owners and staff.

We stayed for five days in the area and really enjoyed it. We had a quiet pitch. The two sanitary houses were clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The restaurant is good at completely normal prices. Unfortunately, the dog exercise area is 300 meters away, but that was not a problem for us. From the site, you can reach beautiful hiking destinations at a short distance, even longer trails when dogs are accompanying. We were here at the end of the high season or at the beginning of the low season at the end of August. It was already relatively quiet, which made it relaxing for us. In the summer, it is reported to be very crowded and correspondingly noisy due to families with many children. We would love to come back in the low season.

Surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Hohe Tauern in Carinthia, Terrassencamping Maltatal offers ideal conditions for an eventful family holiday. The youngsters love to have fun on the adventure playground, in the playhouse or in the petting zoo. During the high season, there is a varied entertainment programme for young and old. Those seeking peace and quiet will find a balance to everyday life in the wellness oasis.
Terrassencamping Maltatal is located on the eastern edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia. The 3.9-hectare meadow site, laid out on two terraces, is located between two picturesque streams. The 249 pitches, between 80 and 150 square metres in size, offer free Wi-Fi, electricity, fresh water and waste water connections. Guests can enjoy a family atmosphere and the flair of a camping holiday without their own tent in the fully equipped mobile homes. The cosy Pizzeria Pfiff is a popular meeting place for guests and locals alike. In addition to homemade pizzas from the wood-fired oven, it serves regional home cooking and international dishes. If you want to relax to your heart's content during your stay in the Malta Valley, you can do so in the sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin. Active guests, on the other hand, can let off steam on the football pitch or explore the Hohe Tauern by bike or on a hike. During the high season, there is an attractive entertainment programme ranging from taster climbing sessions and guided Nordic walking tours to romantic torch-lit hikes. Live concerts by the Trachtenkapelle Malta band also provide regular entertainment. Children look forward to tractor rides and the fun children's disco. Another highlight for the youngest guests is the petting farm, where good-natured ponies can be fed and groomed. The children's rides make the youngest ones feel like real cowboys. There is also a large playground and a play pavilion.
The mountaineering village of Malta is an ideal starting point for extensive tours. In summer, the village offers guided hikes, for example to the Gößfälle water trail. From a viewing platform, the view of the 50 metre-high water cascades is breathtaking. Another popular route starts in Malta and runs along a traffic-free gravel path to Arlboden and from here on to a romantic reservoir. From here, the route continues to the Osnabrücker Hütte, where active hikers can recharge their batteries with typical local delicacies. A tip for families is the adventure park located 5 kilometres from Terrassencamping Maltatal, right next to the Fallbach waterfall. There is a water playground by the stream, as well as a tree house slide and swings. The Fallbach waterfall is also known for its challenging via ferrata, which offers fantastic views.
