The pitches are nicely laid out as almost every pitch has lake view. The access to the pitches is clearly too small. With our caravan 2.3 m wide and 7 m long, it was a challenge to get on and off the pitch without damage. The sanitary facilities are, in our view, clearly too old, and there are too few toilets for men.

Nice location - narrow access and pitches - too few sanitary facilities

Too few toilets and showers for a site with this number of pitches, waiting times are to be expected. This also applies to the completely inadequate number of waste disposal facilities. The access to the pitch is challenging. The paths to the pitches are very narrow and the radii from the main roads are very tight. Here, the plan seems to be to realize as many pitches as possible. Many of the pitches have a steep incline, visitors should bring enough blocks and wedges. Those who have not packed this will unexpectedly find a large number of ramps etc. in the well-stocked supermarket on site. When booking, one should definitely pay attention to the electricity price. The charges per kWh are high and come as a surprise to many visitors at check out.

Not what is suggested!

Unfortunately, I can only give 2*! We specifically booked this place because of the amenities and the, so great children's animation, and were very disappointed! Everything that is suggested about the children's animation on the homepage is incorrect. The two swim islands anchored on the lake have not existed for a long time. There is also no 2nd water slide, just a small baby slide that hardly reaches the water. No bouncy castle and no puppet theatre, even though we spent more than a week there with our grandchild during the high season. Only 4 days of a weak children's program is offered, and not always that! The animation that took place during our time was handled by 2 girls in a loveless manner, without engagement and without music. Also, the water is by no means as beautifully turquoise blue as it is shown on the homepage.

Great campsite with beautiful views

Great campsite with very friendly staff, the view from the terraces is phenomenal. We also can't share the reviews about the restrooms, everything was very clean, new, spacious, and well-maintained. There was an electricity connection at the site, restaurant and shop are available and offer everything you need. The pitches on the terraces are of different shapes, depending on the size of the vehicle/combination you need to look, sometimes it can be tight. We'll definitely come back.

Outdated sanitary facilities

We were welcomed warmly and had a nice pitch with a great view. The pitches are too small for caravans with awnings and cars. With an ADAC camp card, you get pitches in the back corner with no view. The nice pitches do not get any discounts. You have to pay the regular price. We paid 150 euros for 3 nights in the off-season for 2 people, and that was for sanitary facilities that urgently need renovation. There was even mold in the showers and on the walls.

Clean Site with Nice Lake Access
Very good8

We stopped at this site for an overnight stay. Next time we'll stay longer! The lake access alone is magnificent. The site is clean, quiet, and offers a great panorama over the lake.

A campsite that is no longer beautiful

Werner
The site has 255 places, of which 92 are for long-term campers. Dogs are allowed to move around the entire site. There is no separate area. There are 14 toilets and 12 showers available for this site. The view is beautiful but whether that's enough!! We were here for the first time in 1972.

Campsite with the best location
Pleasant6

The campsite is beautifully situated in a terraced manner by Lake Ossiach. The location and the view of the lake is a dream. Let's talk about the negatives: The sanitary facilities are outdated, no longer up to date, and partly moldy. Especially during the Corona times, we would have wished for well-ventilated sanitary buildings - unfortunately, that's not the case. Water came out of some showers barely at all, let alone hot water. The washing places are tight, dark, and not favorable (hot water only at one tap), they urgently need a new concept. The so-called large indoor playground refers to a 20 square meter play area at the entrance of the restaurant. The garbage collection points should be rethought. Trash is practically collected in corners on the ground and picked up by a tractor. The environment is not taken into consideration here. The site itself is often tight, larger mobiles often have difficulty reaching their spots. There is a beach only at one part of the campsite, the other has a bathing jetty. Positives: The staff was always friendly and accommodating! The location is, as already mentioned, great. There are water sports offerings at the site (SUP, pedal boat, etc.).

4-star campsite in a lakeside location
Located in Austria's beautiful province of Carinthia, Terrassencamping Ossiacher See welcomes its guests in a natural park. As the name suggests, the campsite is located directly on the deep blue Ossiacher See and has a large number of marvellous terraced pitches with lake views. Lovingly landscaped with hedges, shrubs, streams and terraces, the site has a particularly natural atmosphere. From here, holidaymakers can enjoy a wonderful view of the deep green landscape and the glistening waters. Nestled between the Ossiacher Tauern and the lake, the site offers a view of the Gerlitze and Dobratsch. 265 parcelled pitches and 50 mobile homes in various categories are available to guests. There are also 3 marvellous premium mobile homes right by the water. These are characterised by pure luxury on 34m² for up to six people. These mobile homes are equipped with three bedrooms, a bathroom and an extra toilet. There is also a modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, ceramic hob, granite sink, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and much more. An air conditioning system keeps you cool on hot days, although heating is of course also provided. You can relax on the shady, covered terrace, which is equipped with a dining set, barbecue and sun loungers.
Excursions and activities.
Both young and old guests can look forward to numerous activities in the surrounding area. A mini golf course is within walking distance and in Ossiach you will find the summer toboggan run and the Ossiach climbing and family forest. A cycle tour around Lake Ossiach can be started right at the entrance to the campsite. The most attractive new feature for all active holidaymakers is the MTB trail area, which will open in 2022 and can be accessed directly above the campsite. Whether for beginners or experienced riders, the area has easy, medium and difficult trails, so there is a tour for every ability. The Mini and Mickey children's trails are also located directly above the campsite. Hiking on the Ossiacher Tauern, the Gerlitze or in the Nockberge mountains is one of the highlights for mountain lovers. The Mölltal Glacier, the Grossglockner or the Nockalm Road are also always worth a trip. The Landskron castle ruins, which offer a spectacular view over Villach, are only about 8 kilometres away. From here, young and old can watch the birds of prey in their show or take an entertaining tour of the monkey mountain with the Japanese macaques. The campsite has numerous facilities for children. The sports facilities range from tennis courts, surfing and sailing courses, water skiing, tyre and banana rides to beach volleyball, table tennis and football. To the west lies the pretty town of Villach, which attracts visitors with its cultural events and historical sights. The Carinthian Summer in Ossiach and the CMA in Ossiach Abbey make the hearts of music lovers beat faster. Those seeking relaxation will find just as much to enjoy at Terrassencamping as active holidaymakers and sports enthusiasts. Fans of culture and history will find a wide range of events on offer. But the stars at Terrassencamping are definitely the children.
