Tamarit Beach Resort

We stayed for 4 weeks at this beautifully located campsite. We made a specific reservation by phone in advance. As we were there with friends, we got 2 adjacent spots. The long-term and senior discount was granted without even asking. However, the spots were under pine and tamarisk trees (resin), so the caravan was completely dirty by the end. Additionally, we constantly had to deal with pigeon and other bird droppings. A tarp for the car is also highly recommended, depending on the pitch. At the beach, swimming shoes are very useful, especially in the area of the surf. The staff is consistently friendly, and some even speak German. The sanitary facilities are good and clean. The supermarket on site is really great. Well stocked and not too expensive. Rarely have I experienced this. The entertainment could be quieter, and the fitness room could also use some cleaning.

Pros

The cleanliness and variety of restaurants Pitch/rental accommodation: In general, it was alright. Just too noisy as it was near the pool. And the pigeons constantly dirtied our camper.

Cons

The attitude towards dogs. There are no green areas where you can let your dog run, and no designated dog area for business. This is very frustrating.

The campsite is quite nice, but our desire to change pitches, whether it be for an upgrade or a downgrade, is not particularly acknowledged. We were offered even worse sites instead, always with the statement that it was fully booked. However, it seems that many pitches are still available. Since you cannot reserve a pitch, it should be possible to get a different one.

Incorrect price information! The ladies at the reception make statements about discounts that are not accurate. You do not receive the invoice immediately, but you must pay right away.

Beautiful location, but flawed arrangements and lack of transparency in billing. The campsite itself is lovely, but the service at the time of billing left a lot to be desired. After changing our spot, we were explicitly assured at reception that the 15% ADAC discount also applied to the new pitch. However, after our departure, it turned out via email that this was not the case. The management informed us that this category of pitch was excluded from the discount – we were simply misinformed on site. Additionally, we were charged an unsolicited "downgrade fee". It's unfortunate that verbal promises from employees subsequently hold no value. Communication and billing transparency are lacking here.

Friendliness, beautiful beach, great pool, and clean sanitary facilities. Campsite/Rental Accommodation: Clean site, large plot.

Pitch/Rental accommodation: The spot we were assigned was under tall pine trees where hardly any sunlight came through.

At the reception, we were explicitly assured that when switching to the pitch of the category "Medium Preferent", the ADAC discount of 15 % would still be included. Based on this verbal assurance, we made our choice for this pitch. However, we have now found that the discount, according to the price list, is officially not applicable to this category and, accordingly, was not granted to us.
