Strandcamping Valkenisse

Positive: The campsite is a nice, family-friendly place with a well-designed indoor playground and an animal enclosure. The pitches are nicely arranged and there is even a small supermarket. The playground itself is also very nice. Negative: There are many steps over the dam to the beach, which might be a bit tiring for some. The washroom is still a bit old-fashioned but will be renovated in 2026. The pitches are tight, so vehicles over 8 meters long won't find a spot. The 10A fuse is also not ideal.

Good, neither more nor less. Rather a bungalow park, spots for campers so tightly packed that a few more can fit in. Extra private shower houses are great, everything clean and tidy. Spots facing the street are quiet during the week, but on weekends, there may be short races with cars, mopeds, etc. The dune access has 120 steps, only an ascent! No access for strollers, wheelchairs, etc. Service is sometimes grumpy, Wi-Fi is not streamable as advertised! On our spot there were hardly 1-2 bars and constant interruptions. Overall, okay.

Beautiful, clean, lovely location, very friendly staff

Neat and clean. But that's it. For us, there was no real camping feeling. With all the private sanitary facilities, you hardly make contact with other campers. Everyone is bundled up in their own pitch. This may be appealing to some, but we will look for a place with more shared experiences next time.

Very clean site. Private sanitary was okay. The supermarket was very good. You could get everything you needed for daily use and even more. The playground was okay, as was the snack bar. The animation program was suitable for our child (5 years old). If you choose private sanitary, the caravan should not be longer than 8m. I was glad I had a mover. With an awning it was already tight. The artificial grass on the pitch is well-intended, but only the wooden sand pegs held it. Not really good. Not very far from the beach, but a very high dune (about 120 steps on one side, so 240 steps total). It was already sporty with the beach items. Zoutelande is not far away. Nice little town. Vlissingen is not far away and you can find everything there. Also a well-stocked camping shop. The indoor playground was standard, so okay.

A really very beautiful, clean, and tidy campsite. The tall trees in the northern camper pitches even provide shade. Unfortunately, the beach access is more laborious due to the many stairs compared to neighboring towns. We were disappointed with the allocation of the so-called pitches for motorhomes (40-row). Here we were alone with our motorhome. Otherwise, all around there were only caravan fairs with a motor show. Other sites in the area create a better separation between motorhomes and caravans in a car-free zone.

Very well-maintained area, large parking spaces, friendly staff. Well suited for extensive cycling tours. And the best part: dogs not allowed!

The online booking page of the site is exemplary: Parcel selection on the site plan - discount cards are taken into account. Friendly welcome. Generously sized pitches with artificial grass for the entrance area/the awning. Large green open spaces in the middle of the pitch areas with play equipment for children. Over the dune by stairs to the extensive, fine sandy beach up to 50 meters wide (approx. 250 m, also a beach restaurant and rental of umbrellas etc. there). Free Wi-Fi. Those without a mover will be assisted with a mini tractor if needed. Campers are allowed to help feed the animals in the enclosure at the edge of the site - the children are thrilled. An overall very well-kept site that places great emphasis on a relaxing, quiet camping experience. What was there to complain about? Absolutely nothing.
