Seencamping Krauchenwies

Actually, we enjoyed our stay at this place, clean, tidy, bathing area by the lake. But then I left the key transponder hanging in the shower and shortly after it was, of course, gone, along with the 20 EUR deposit. When I asked at check-out if the transponder had been returned, the lady at the reception denied it and demanded a 50 EUR penalty. I found this to be a rip-off, as we had paid a deposit and the amount requested was completely disproportionate, and there was no indication of such a penalty.

Very clean sanitary facilities, great lake for walks! Opposite, there is a huge concrete plant, next to the campsite a large sawmill, unfortunately this is not mentioned on the website! Owner and assistants are very arrogant and deceitful, smiling in your face and gossiping behind your back! Campsites are very expensive, WiFi costs extra, in my opinion the super reviews online are 'bought'. On one side of the campsite there is not a really nice view, everything is very dirty, you look at old pallets, weeds, and a huge dirt hill! We cannot recommend the campsite, there are so many other beautiful campsites.

We had a wonderful stay at Seencamping Krauchenwies over the extended May 1st weekend. The campsite is perfect for families with children - the playground is a highlight for the little ones. For older children, there is a table tennis table, a football pitch, and a new large trampoline. In summer, you can swim in the beautiful beach that belongs to the campsite. Couples can also unwind and relax at the idyllic lake, hike around the Ablacher lakes, or bike ride. On Komoot, you can find a variety of tours ranging from easy to challenging. Additionally, I want to mention the very friendly and helpful staff who always have a smile on their lips. Krauchenwies, with various shopping options, is easily accessible on foot. We will gladly come back!

There is something for everyone, parking spaces, barrels, bungalows and mobile homes. Greatly furnished, top modern. The place itself is well-maintained and lovingly run. There is a roll service. Playground etc. The lake is stunning.

How to start when everything has been perfect? Oh yes. It was already going perfectly. We were on the premises over the Easter weekend. The Tuesday before, I had called and snagged the last spot. We were very politely welcomed at the reception, even though we arrived just before 6 PM. Everything you need is available. In the evening, there were delicious pizza and cocktails in the small lounge. The absolute highlight was the Easter Bunny on Sunday morning who took care of all the kids. The sanitary facilities were very clean at all times. For us, it was a very relaxing long weekend.

I have to be honest, I love this place, we are quite often there in the summer! Last year a lot was done! From repairing the playground to a sanitary module at the campsite to new rental accommodations. The staff was also partially changed and you can always find a listening ear for concerns or problems.

The positive aspect of this campsite is clearly the proximity to the swimming/fishing lake! Even though it is (probably due to its depth) refreshingly cold 😉. On the associated lawn, you can find a little spot (in the shade). The sanitary facilities were clean, and at our arrival (site only 1/3 occupied), five showers and the corresponding toilets were sufficient. At our departure, the campsite was full - which was unpleasant in many ways, not only in terms of sanitation. Our experiences with the staff were very varied - ranging from genuine friendliness to unfriendly 'snippiness'. Our conclusion: we would come back for a short stay.
