Recreatiepark Klaverweide

We have been to this campsite several times before, but this was the worst stay. First of all, we got ripped off with the deposit for the private toilet, which was charged twice and only refunded once. The site is no longer as clean as during our previous visits; now everything is disorganized between dogs and non-dogs. Then the spots are fenced so that you don’t have to walk the animals as often, and they end up doing their business on the site. The dogs are washed in the private toilets when they come back from the beach. The cleaning on departure left much to be desired; I timed it, and it took just 3 minutes and 45 seconds to clean the private toilet. There are no shopping facilities on the campsite, no fries stand or anything like that; you always have to drive. We won’t be going back, also because the staff has changed (the reception is very unfriendly).

We go to this site several times a year. The reception is very friendly, extremely well-kept, and close to the dunes. Both the private shower stalls are great, as well as the general sanitary facilities. At the sites with private sanitary house, an additional tent can be set up alongside the caravan or motorhome. Not so at the simple sites. The supermarket is well-stocked, and the daily fresh rolls are very tasty. Electricity, water, and waste water are available at every site. Late checkout possible depending on occupancy. Two alpacas, potbellied pigs, and chickens are in an enclosure next to the playground. Kite surfing school on site. French fries stand on site.
