Panorama Camping Dankerode

We had an all-around great vacation at the Panorama Camping site in Dankerode! The place lives up to its name, a dream location with beautiful views. Everything is super clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. We especially want to highlight the peace and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for unwinding and enjoying. The staff are very friendly and helpful, you feel welcome right away. Whether for hiking in the Harz or just to relax. This campsite is absolutely recommended. We would love to come back!

Actually a nice little place in the countryside. But, Unfortunately, aging sanitary facilities with strong mold growth (poorly maintained) and an expensive energy-consuming heater. 60€ to be paid per week. The integrated toilets remain locked. Very high tick infestation in the poorly mowed pitches and meadows. According to the site manager (who is very controlling), children are not welcome. For us, it’s no more than 2 stars! What a pity!! We will not come back.

There is little going on at the campsite. According to the site manager (very curious and controlling), only 20% occupancy and children are not welcome. The heating in the private sanitary facility, which is already a bit old and has slight mold growth, costs extra and consumes a fair amount of electricity. We had to pay nearly 60€ extra for electricity for 6 days. The excessive number of tick bites is likely explained by the poorly mowed lawns and pitches. The sinks in the shower houses are also not opened, allegedly due to disputes. Therefore, the washroom at the beginning must be used for washing up, where the site manager comes in to check while we do the dishes. A shame, it is actually a nice little campsite, but we will not return.

Beautiful campsite, nice people... but please be careful... never turn on the heating in the bathroom. Huge amounts of electricity costs will then be demanded. We had it on for about 3 whole days = €62.00 extra charge.

According to the internet, all sites have their own sanitary building (so the clear statement in the FAQs), but unfortunately this is not true, the sites from number 40 have to share a bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower in one room) with the users of the tent meadow! With us, this sometimes meant 17 adults and two children - one can imagine the condition... The sites themselves are partly very steep, two sets of Fiamma wedges were just enough. Due to the slope, terraces for the sites would have been ideal. There was also very long grass, which made the grip of the tires more difficult. Here, perforated concrete blocks, at least in two strips, would have been a great help. In the lower area, the light profile is significantly restricted by the fruit trees that stand in all corners. The pricing is overall quite excessive, e.g. €1 per kWh of electricity, booked in advance via app, but then not refunded. €4.50 for emptying the chemical toilet once, etc. Furthermore, there is a significant gap between the desire for and the reality of digitalization. At the reception, there is a large sign stating that the site is being promoted by the EU for advanced digitalization. Although there are four cameras at the entrance gate, automatic access via license plate recognition did not work (as we know from many places in the Netherlands), and the check-in on the wall-sized touchscreen at the reception did not work either. It only worked on the third attempt via the homepage. The Wi-Fi provided a "remarkable" 15 MBit. The gastronomy in the area is only for early diners; one establishment was closed due to a private event (okay, that can happen), the second had a sign on the door: closed after 8:00 PM (on a Friday night), at the third, we were told just before half-past eight that there would be no warm kitchen that late. Well, the camping site cannot do anything about that, but there is absolutely nothing there, no kiosk, no vending machine, no bread roll service - nothing. Since there are no half stars, I ultimately decided on three stars - in dubio pro reo...

Very nice, clean, and quiet campsite. Each spot has its own bathroom with shower and toilet at its site. Especially beautiful right now during the cherry blossom season. The prices are also reasonable but should be updated on the website...60f We will definitely come back there...

Very nice campsite with comfort. Here you can vacation in a very quiet and intact village environment (with a real baker, butcher, restaurant, and small supermarket). Additionally, each site has its own sanitation facilities. Furthermore, it is a good starting point for activities in the Harz region. We would love to come back!

The place is cozy and small. The plots are generously designed. In the cherry harvest season, one could nibble on a lot of knobby cherries there.
