First Camp Orsa – Dalarna

Clean and very well-maintained campsite. Directly on the lake, which is very shallow at the shore and even children can walk in quite far (mostly sandy bottom). However, it's a very large campsite. At the beginning of August, only about one in five spots were occupied, making it very relaxed and quiet. If it were full, it would be too much for us. There are many recreational activities directly on the site. Definitely great for (younger) children. It reminded us of Center Parcs for campers. Everyone should decide for themselves whether it's the right place. For our one night on the way, it was too expensive. For those who stay longer and have children, why not. Oh, and starting early August, some facilities like the supermarket on the site close. Check the website in advance. The advantage was that on the last evening of opening, we bought only one small ball and got four. It had to go :)

Great campsite with a lot of entertainment value for younger children. The lake is only knee-deep for a long stretch, there is a large pool with swimming lanes and an external giant slide. Cleanliness is TOP. Clear recommendation.

We were there in the off-season. It was quite empty. In high summer, there will surely be sunshine and people... But there are several sanitary buildings, a restaurant next to it, and the place is right next to it. Good for stopovers.

The location of the campsite is super beautiful. The cleanliness is excellent. However, the friendliness in the associated restaurant is extremely poor. The staff there is rude and in a bad mood. I will never go back there. The staff should urgently be reviewed as they harm the otherwise excellent site.

Since we were there very early in the season, it was not possible to empty the waste water tank, as the access to the disposal station was suddenly closed. Otherwise, a huge area located right by the lake, absolutely great!
