The campsite is very well maintained!!! Lots of nature and it was, despite the travel time in July, pleasantly quiet. For us as a couple, who now travels without children, it's ideal. The sanitary facilities are particularly clean and attractively designed, a bit like a nice bathroom at home :-) You are warmly welcomed - northern rustic, humorous charm, which we find great. The site is located directly at Kirchsee / Schwentine with its own canoe rental. We were there with our own kayak and received great tips for tours. You can paddle up the Schwentine to Kiel or in the other direction through several lakes. Nature and wildlife are a dream! From the site, it takes about 10 minutes to walk around the lake to Preetz, and by bike, it’s even easier. The campsite is also ideal for bike tours or hikes to the Baltic Sea and through Holstein Switzerland.
