Beautiful, quiet campsite by the Schlei. Clean sanitary facilities that are regularly maintained. The friendliness of the junior manager is particularly noteworthy.

Very good. Each guest is personally escorted to the pitch. In principle, you could accommodate twice as many guests on the site. More important than profit to the managing family is that the guests feel comfortable. A friendly atmosphere among everyone is palpable.

I can only partly understand the bad reviews of some previous speakers. Yes, the warm water for rinsing costs money. Yes, the owner has the place "under control" and the waste separation was also new to me in this complexity. But if you engage with it, you will always be treated kindly and can spend a very nice time at this site. We stayed on the meadow without partitioned spots. Power columns were sufficiently nearby. There is a small toilet building with gray water disposal and a large one with washing-up and disposal options for gray water and chemical toilets). A small kiosk with bread roll service, a small playground with a trampoline and swings, as well as two small bathing beaches. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. For a 14-day summer vacation, I would miss a bit more for the kids. But for an extended weekend or for paddlers, etc. it's perfect.

The reception was friendly; we spontaneously extended our stay by 2 nights without having seen the assigned pitch. We would say we paid for experience. We paid for a sea view but ended up right behind permanent campers. They could have given us a better spot with the van. The boss's sympathies were clearly not on our side, but that doesn’t have to matter. We received a lecture like little children about strict waste separation; we are only 58 years old, after all. The best part was the paid warm water for rinsing. The location of the site is nice and quiet, but guests should be treated as competent and environmentally conscious adults. By the way, only cash is accepted, with a reference to the nearest ATM. I’m writing this just in case you haven't read the check-in notice while on holiday. It’s a disaster when you mention this at check-out; then the boss is extremely pleased. If this doesn't bother you, the place is okay; for us, it was not. Holiday time is too precious.

We stayed for several nights in Hellör and will definitely come back. A wonderful spot by the Schlei with a lot of love and attention to detail. The whole operating family is fully dedicated and always open to exchange!

The site is beautifully located directly by the Schlei and has a nice swimming area. The pitches are sufficiently large but not demarcated. Water supply and disposal are limited. No emptying of gray water. Sanitary facilities are good and sufficient. Bread roll service is good. Water consumption (shower, etc.) is via a chip card. Location: very remote. Nearest town is about 4 km away.

This is a quiet campsite directly on the Schlei. Also excellent for camping. Modern and clean sanitary facilities. There are enough places available for washing up. There are also washing machines and dryers. The hot water consumption for showering and washing up is charged via a chip card. Additionally, there is a kiosk and bread roll service. Good opportunities for water sports right at the site (paddling, SUP, swimming, etc.)

The shore of Germany's only fjord invites you to swim and relax in the middle of nature. The region is also an ideal holiday destination for boating enthusiasts. You can explore the fascinating flora and fauna from a canoe or kayak as well as by bike or on foot. With a bit of luck, you may come across wild animals such as white-tailed eagles, roe deer and bats along the way. The Hellör nature campsite is home to rare Galloway cattle.
The Hellör nature campsite is lovingly run as a family business. From arrival to departure, the helpful operators ensure the well-being of their guests. Dog owners, couples and families with children feel equally welcome here. A small kiosk directly on the site provides guests with fresh bread rolls and other basic foodstuffs. Further shopping facilities are available in nearby Brodersby. Guests are also impressed by the first-class space on offer and the very quiet location.
